    Abstract: A video monitoring system responds to an intrusion alarm by automatically presenting still video images of the zone of the alarm at or about the time of the alarm. The operator can control magnification and contrast to enhance the displayed image. In one system the displayed images are images taken at times both before and after the alarm was received by the monitoring system.
