Abstract: A drawer assembly for vehicles, and more particularly to a system of opposed drawers for use in a vehicle or trailer. The drawers integrate into the structure of a vehicle for storage or concealment of the retractable features, and can cantilever out and away from the storage compartment, when the drawers extend. The drawer assembly includes an upper drawer and a lower drawer, the bottom or pan of the upper drawer bottom located in substantially the same horizontal plane as the bottom of the lower drawer. An upper drawer rail mounts to the upper drawer and a lower drawer rail mounts to the lower drawer. The upper and lower drawer rails have a rail length greater than the drawer length.

Abstract: A camming coupler for removably attaching a music desk or other object to an upright support leg. The camming coupler includes an inner sleeve for receiving the upright support leg. The inner sleeve has at least one longitudinal slit formed therein, and preferably has four substantially equidistant longitudinal slits. The inner sleeve also has a cammed exterior surface. An attachment member extends from the inner sleeve, and is attachable to the music desk or other object. The camming coupler further includes an outer sleeve positioned over the inner sleeve. The outer sleeve has a cammed interior surface that corresponds with the cammed exterior surface of the inner sleeve. In use, the camming coupler is secured to a music desk or other object. An upright support leg is inserted in the inner sleeve, and the outer sleeve is rotated to compress the inner sleeve.

Abstract: A radio frequency transmission device including electronic circuitry. A digital logic circuit is alternate-able from a sleep mode to an active mode after a pre-determined time period, and back to the sleep mode immediately after transmission of a digital signal. The digital signal includes a unique and pre-determined sequence of fixed length pulses routed to a transmission circuit to transmit a radio signal in a specific frequency range. An output display signal from the output circuitry is displayed with an LED. An input circuitry is manually activated. A radio frequency signal is received with a receiver circuitry, sensed to determine if the received signal has a compatible characteristic of an expected signal. The radio frequency signal is converted into a digital form and sent to the microprocessor. Every associated transmitter device is tracked with a counter maintained by a microprocessor. Personnel, belongings and pets can be tracked with this device.

Abstract: An actuated mechanical thumb apparatus is provided that pivots in compliment to the hinging of a bucket or similar hydraulically actuated attachment, as employed with conventional heavy equipment, such as backhoes and excavators. The thumb co-operatively actuates with the bucket to prevent walking or shifting of the gripped object. The thumb apparatus is unitized, or of a single component, well suited for easy retrofit to conventional material handling and earth moving equipment. The frame of the thumb apparatus mounts to a heavy equipment boom member or arm. The frame can be held in place on the boom member by two pins. The frame includes two frame plates, and the thumb includes two thumb plates. Each frame plate hingably attaches to one of the thumb plates at a separate pivot. This allows the thumb to pivot straddle the bucket's hinge, and pivot on the same axis as the bucket. A thumb link can be used across a pivoting bell crank, actuated by the thumb's hydraulic cylinder to actuate the thumb.

Abstract: A backlight etching process, and more particularly the etching of a solid, semi-translucent base material, to form an exact image within the material. The base material is preferably translucent and most preferably an acrylic-based product, such as DuPont Corian®. Specific portions of the etched image can be digitally altered to enhance the quality of the image. Lines may be added to better delineate between areas of the image, or specific areas may be masked and altered. The etched image can also be colorized by cutting exact forms or silhouettes of colored film using digital techniques and adhering the silhouette to the smooth, back side of the etched image. A backing sheet may then be applied over the colored silhouette, to strengthen the product and protect the silhouette, to the etched image product.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing nuts and fruits, and more specifically, to a mobile apparatus that picks-up fruits and nuts, and similar products from the ground and conditions them, in bulk. The mobile apparatus conditions the fruits and nuts by removing debris with a combination of a belted conveyor and a high volume fan. The plenum of the apparatus is sized to achieve a constant velocity of air throughout the portions of the plenum in contact with the product, providing a constant suction to prevent the entrainment of product into the dust collection system. The processing apparatus can be utilized in a conditioner that picks-up and processes the product and then returns the cleaned and conditioned product to the floor of the orchard or grove. The processing apparatus can also be utilized in a harvester that picks-up and processes the product and then stores the product temporarily in a bin.

Abstract: A new and distinct primocane-fruiting (autumn-bearing) cultivar of black raspberry, Rubus occidentalis, named ‘Explorer.’ The ‘Explorer’ black raspberry was created as an F2 generation seedling of a controlled cross between two unnamed black raspberry plants collected from uncultivated areas. ‘Explorer’ black raspberry is capable of providing a reliable and productive crop of large black raspberries on primocanes in late summer and early autumn when there are no fresh black raspberries available from other cultivars of black raspberry. The canes of ‘Explorer’ black raspberry also exhibit fewer thorns than canes of a typical black raspberry plant.
