  • Patent number: 5301149
Abstract: A data read-out circuit in the semiconductor memory device has a sense circuit which detects the state of a selected memory cell and outputs a sense output voltage, a reference voltage generating circuit which outputs a reference voltage, and a comparison amplifier which compares the sense output voltage with the reference voltage and outputs an output voltage. The data read-out circuit further has a reference voltage control circuit consisting of a P-channel MOSFET connected between a power supply source and an output node of the reference voltage generating circuit. A gate of the P-channel MOSFET receives the sense output voltage from the sense circuit.

  • Patent number: 5025554
Abstract: A method of forming a crimp-style terminal and the resulting crimp-style terminal. A solder cream is applied to one or both of the inner surface of the conductor-holding portion of the terminal and the conductor wires which are to be held by the conductor-holding portion. The conductor-holding portion is subsequently deformed by pressing to grip the wire conductors. The solder cream fills the space between the conductor bundle and the inner surface of the conductor-holding portion and the space between conductors of the conductor bundle.

  • Patent number: 5013227
Abstract: The pump comprises a stator constituted by an alternating sucession of stator plates (22) and stator rings (21) defining a sequence of compression chambers (20), and a rotor assembly comprising two shafts (24, 25) each having a compression lobe (28) in each of the compression chambers (20), with the compression lobes being placed on and fixed to their shafts during assembly of the pump, thereby enabling the axial clearance between each lobe and the adjacent stator plate to be individually adjusted, with each lobe being constituted by a body (29) and a clamping plate (30) which is fixed to the body by screws (34) which compress a set of two conical rings (32, 33), one of which (33) penetrates into the other while being compressed radially, thereby fixing the lobe in place. The assembly melthod consists in using a assembly plate (23) having a portion of extra thickness j penetrating into the stator ring over a distance corresponding to the desired clearance between the lobes and the stator plate (22).

  • Patent number: 4984450
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of leak testing a test container. A tracer gas such as helium is sprayed around the test container on its outside, and the inside of the container is evacuated and connected to a tracer gas detector. Prior to the actual leak test, the test container (1) is temporarily connected to a water tank (7) containing water free from dissolved gases.

  • Patent number: 4985336
Abstract: A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed, comprising a support having provided thereon at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer each contains a precursor compound capable of releasing a compound upon reacting with an oxidation product of a developing agent, and said released compound is capable of releasing a development inhibitor upon further reacting with another molecule of the oxidation product of the developing agent. The material has improved sharpness and color reproducibility.

  • Patent number: 4859710
Abstract: A lead accumulator using dilute sulfuric acid as an electrolyte liquor is disclosed, in which the electrolyte liquor is fixed by absorption or impregnation into an ethylene copolymer resin or a molding thereof comprising from 40 to 90% by weight of an ethylene unit and from 10 to 60% by weight of at least one comonomer unit selected from (A) and ethylenically unsaturated comonomer unit having an amido group and an amino group in the molecule thereof and (B) an ethylenically unsaturated comonomer unit having an ester group and an amino group in the molecule thereof and having an average molecular weight of from 5,000 to 50,000. The lead accumulator can be produced easily and at a low cost without limitations of shape and volume and has high performance reliability.

  • Patent number: 4411457
Abstract: An insulated pipe joint and a method for producing the joint in which first and second tubular portions are joined through an insulating member disposed in a gap between the first and second tubular members. The first tubular member has a flange portion at one end thereof while the second tubular member has a cap portion which accommodates the flange portion of the first tubular member with the gap being formed between the cap and flange portions. The insulating member disposed in the gap hermetically couples the first and second tubular members while electrically insulating them from one another.

  • Patent number: 4366233
Abstract: The reduction in cyan coloring density of a color photographic paper caused by the conversion of cyan dye into leuco compound during blixing is prevented by reducing the total amount of silver contained in the silver halide emulsion layer or layers disposed between the cyan coloring silver halide emulsion layer and the support of the color photographic paper. The total amounts of silver in these layers should be 0.6 g/m.sup.2 or less. When the silver content is reduced in order to prevent a reduction in cyan color density, it is generally desirable to utilize only particular magenta couplers in order to avoid reducing the magenta color density.

  • Patent number: 4355937
Abstract: An electron beam vacuum chamber is provided with an elevator mechanism within the chamber including a platform closing off an opening within a horizontal vacuum chamber wall and separating the vacuum chamber from an overlying antechamber partially defined by a vertically displaceable lid overlying the opening and moving towards and away from the opening. Resilient peripheral seals are fixed to the lid facing the chamber wall and the elevator platform. A coil spring partially compressible upon contact with the first peripheral seal carried by the lid with the face of the vacuum chamber wall forms a first mechanical override and an annular spring metal diaphragm fixedly mounted about its outer peripheral edge to the vacuum chamber adjacent the opening has its inner peripheral edge freely flexible and is contacted by the resilient peripheral seal of the platform to form a second mechanical override.
