  • Patent number: 6963654
Abstract: A first conductor and a second conductor are provided at a diaphragm. The first and second conductors intersect magnetic force lines between north poles and south poles of permanent magnets M which are adjacent to one another. When electricity passes through the conductors, a direction in which a force from the magnetic field acts on the current is substantially orthogonal to a surface of the diaphragm. Therefore, the diaphragm can be oscillated in the direction orthogonal to the diaphragm surface. The conductors have widths of from 1000 ?m to 2000 ?m. Therefore, relative errors in the widths caused by etching can be greatly reduced compared to the prior art, and etching is easier. Moreover, the conductors are arranged in a zigzag pattern. Because the conductors do not have a coil form, a large number of through-holes is not required as in conventional products.

  • Patent number: 6873349
Abstract: A recording material is angled and wound on a rotating drum. Distortion (inclination) of an image can be eliminated with a comparatively simple control system, and the occurrence of distortion when there is a change in image recording specifications can be prevented. For standard specifications, although image recording lines have helical movement tracks during image-recording, a peripheral end of a printing plate and a peripheral end of an image region can be made to be parallel with one another without distortion of the image region. In contrast, when instructed specifications differ from the standard specifications, a conventional image region becomes distorted because an inclination angle of the printing plate cannot be varied. Accordingly, in a case in which instructed specifications differ from the standard specifications thus, image data is shifted in a sub-scanning direction by soft processing, and the distortion is alleviated.

  • Patent number: 6865987
Abstract: A device for positioning a sheet-shaped material by providing a plurality of pairs of pins on a conveying path. Printing plate precursors are classified, on the basis of widths thereof, into large-sized and small-sized. Two pairs of positioning pins are provided for each size, and are disposed so as to be offset in a direction of conveying a printing plate precursor toward a rotating drum. A width of a small-sized printing plate precursor is smaller than a pitch dimension of a pair of positioning pins for large-sized printing plate precursors. Therefore, the small-sized printing plate precursor abuts and is positioned by positioning pins for small-sized printing plate precursors which are provided further ahead. Moreover, a large-sized printing plate precursor directly abuts and is positioned by the positioning pins for large-sized printing plate precursors, so as not to be interfered with by the positioning pins for small-sized printing plate precursors.

  • Patent number: 6856334
Abstract: A device for fixing a sheet material to a cylindrical rotating member. Without using a suction mechanism and a vacuum, pressing portions of sheet material leading end clamps provided at a peripheral surface of the rotating member press the sheet material against the peripheral surface of the rotating member and fix the sheet material thereat. Each pressing portion has a region which deforms most due to centrifugal force generated by the rotating member. The pressing portion is formed in advance on the whole in a bow-like shape such that this region projects the most toward a center of the rotating member. Due to deformation caused by centrifugal force, the pressing portion changes from bow-shaped to planar, and uniformly presses the sheet material without a gap therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6846102
Abstract: In an agitating machine, an axial direction of a drive roll is inclined to one side or another side with respect to an axial direction of a guide shaft which is rotated on its own axis, whereby a drive support machine casing and a driven support machine casing are moved to one end side or another end side of the guide shaft. When an arrival detecting apparatus detects that the drive support machine casing or the driven support machine casing has reached the one end side or the another end side of the guide shaft, a control apparatus drives a reversing motor so as to incline the axial direction of the drive roll to the another side or the one side. Since the arrival detecting apparatus, the reversing motor and the control apparatus are electrically driven, it is possible to securely incline the axial direction of the drive roll.

  • Patent number: 6792859
Abstract: A rotating drum in which, when the rotating drum is rotated at high speed, there is no offset between divisional drum parts, there is little imbalance, and a moment of inertia for rotation is small. A drum main body is divided into four drum parts whose cross-sectional configurations orthogonal to an axis are fan-shaped. Female projecting portions and male projecting portions are formed at a pitch dimension having a predetermined fit-together tolerance. Thus, the drum parts can be assembled together with a certain amount of leeway at a time of assembly. After the four drum parts have been assembled together, wires are press-fit in from an end surface side of the drum main body so as to tightly fasten the drum parts. Because the assembled drum main body defines configurations of the drum parts to have point symmetry, imbalance can be made small.

  • Patent number: 6739250
Abstract: As a rotational reference position of a rotating drum is detected by a rotational position detection sensor for each rotation of the rotating drum, a rotational position of the rotating drum at a time of detection can be known. Subsequent to a signal for instructing stop of the rotating drum being input, the rotational reference position is detected. Then, a stop position calculation processing section calculates a stop control pulse for stopping the rotating drum from the rotational position at a trailing edge chuck detaching position. Thus, the rotating drum is reliably stopped at the trailing edge chuck detaching position. A stop processing is performed by a rotating drum drive control section when the rotational reference position is detected after the calculation. As a result, the stop position is not shifted by the time required for calculation and generation of the stop control pulse.

  • Patent number: 6643341
Abstract: A method employing multisignal encoded start pulses and end pulses for data transmission by use of radio waves, carries out encoding so that a very large number of kinds of patterns (not less than 1014 kinds are possible) can be effected with one frequency. In the binary system, encoding needs a large number of signal pulses and high frequency, and the frequency of the carrier wave becomes very high also. The multisignal method of this invention makes it possible to reduce the encoding bits and the carrier wave frequency by using level sensing and width comparison techniques. This method also removes noise owing to its level sensing and width comparison techniques which have not been used in conventional digital communication systems. Therefore, the reception of erroneous information, the occurrence of unclear audio-visual images, and noise trouble are prevented in the use of radio waves.

  • Patent number: 6628596
Abstract: This invention resolves the limitations of the binary data encoding and storage system by encoding multi-valued meaning to data elements prior to the recording and storing of these multi-valued data elements based on a plurality of quantities in a memory point. In order to make a single memory point suitable to record multi-valued data elements, where each value has a special meaning in a particular recording, quantities of magnetism or light, like its intensity, shape, etc., are digitized or analogized so that each of the quantities can be recorded and extracted. The invention additionally includes systems and methods for using multi-valued data elements, including wireless transmission.

  • Patent number: 6324143
Abstract: Some of various multisignal (a plurality of signals except zero in the conventional binary system ) which are a variety of memories employed as signals instead of a single memory in the binary system are recorded in a medium for multisignal, by moving a recorder for multisignal to a determined position. An extractor is moved to a determined position to extract a part of the multisignal which have been recorded at that position in advance. When any change has to be made to the recorded multisignal, the change is made by the recorder. The multisignal can be used in two or more pairs as well. When processing a signal in the multisignal method in which various signals are used instead of 1 in the conventional binary system, the medium erases, writes, and corrects the signal with a machine which uses multisignal of light, magnetism, etc. that can be clearly discriminated from one another.
