  • Patent number: 8346781
Abstract: A dynamic content distribution system and method that uses a unique Item Response Function IRF method to provide digital content to end-users based on psychometric reasoning. The system and method gathers psychometric attributes of Registered Users and Registered Subscribers and combines the psychometric attributes with Item Response Function methods, including characterizing content by corresponding psychometric attributes, to determine how and when digital content is presents to the Registered Users.

  • Patent number: 8297484
Abstract: A height adjustable tower and cargo rack apparatus for wakeboard boats and the like, the apparatus including: a tower base rigidly attached to a boat gunwale, the tower base having a powered actuator; vertical supports extending from the tower base and pivotally operated by the powered actuator; a pivotally adjustable cargo rack apparatus supported by the vertical supports; and, a height adjustable upper tower section which is pivotally supported by the vertical supports and which adjustably supports the cargo rack apparatus. The multiplicity of adjustable and pivotal features work in conjunction with each other to maximize the unique functionality of the instant apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8293048
Abstract: This invention relates to polymer derived ceramics (PDC's) and more particularly, to methods and product made by using polymeric derived ceramic precursors to synthesize dense, crack-free bulk ceramics in a technique using sacrificial molds, coating processes, replication processes, assembly processes and finishing processes; where gas release paths are created and maintained during these processes to release gases generated during pyrolysis of the ceramic precursor. It is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a well defined method to create PDC voxels which are interconnected as a bulk (high density) material. Such a material is effectively a lattice with face centered cubic or hexagonal close pack geometry. A second objective of the present invention is to provide a method for bulk, high density material to be combined with fully dense material in a hybrid material.

  • Patent number: 8216431
Abstract: There is described a water distillation system comprising a boiler assembly and a condenser assembly communicating by means of superheated steam through a passive magnetic valve opening directly under force of pressure. This allows the recovery of the latent heat of evaporation through a passive process. Additional features are described which complement the efficient transfer and recapture of heat energy, and the management of miscible fluid constituents. The distillation system described is useful for producing potable water and can be transportable or fixed in location and/or scaled for residential, neighborhood and municipal application. The distillation system may also be used for efficiently clarifying other fluids, such as for ‘de-watering’ ethanol.

  • Patent number: 8186261
Abstract: An adjustable muzzle brake in which an interior volume of the muzzle chamber can be varied without the use of tools which allows shooters to adjust the flow of the propellant gases and thereby allow shooters to determine and select the optimum recoil for their shooting preference.

  • Patent number: 8167174
Abstract: An Inline Fluid Dispenser including a reservoir having at least one chamber for containing reservoir contents, a fluid supply tube extending through the reservoir, an entry tubing adapter attached to a first end of the fluid supply tube and including an entry flow valve, an exit tubing adapter attachable to a second end of the fluid supply tube and including an exit flow valve, an activation system for controlling fluid flow between the fluid supply tube and the reservoir. The fluid supply tube contents and the reservoir contents mix together and flow through the exit flow valve when there is fluid communication between the reservoir and the fluid supply tube. A supply fluid flow path is always available between the entry tubing adapter and the exit tubing adapter.

  • Patent number: 8025194
Abstract: A cargo rack apparatus for removable attachment to a boat, such as to the vertical supports of a wakeboard boat tower. One embodiment includes one or more peripheral rails defining front, back, and side walls, and an interior volume, and one or more crossmembers between walls to provide a support surface for stored items. The apparatus can be attached to the vertical supports of the boat tower by releasable connectors or mounts at a plurality of points, and can subsequently be easily and completely removed from the tower. Upon release of only some of the connectors, the rack pivots relative to the tower to enable the storage area of the rack to be brought closer to the user, making it easier to load and unload cargo. The entire rack can also pivot and fold down with the boat tower for storage, towing, and areas of limited clearance.
