Abstract: A spray extension device for a spray can includes at least a pair of telescopable extension tubes fitted to and in fluid communication with the valve stem of a spray can. Advantageously, the extension tubes are fitted to a closure cap which, in turn, is fitted to the valve stem, and, thereby, in fluid communication with the interior of the can. Depressing of the closure cap causes the valve stem to issue fluid therethrough, into the tubes.
Abstract: A selectively positionable covering arrangement comprises a slotted track member mounted to a vertical wall and extending across the top of an opening in the wall, at least first and second cover members one of which is mounted to the track and relatively laterally slidable between a first position wherein the cover members are coplanar with one another and in parallel juxtaposed covering relation with a respective first and second closure members of the opening and into a second position wherein the cover members are in spaced parallel juxtaposed relation with one another and juxtaposed with one of the closure members whereby to uncover the other of the closure members.
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for perforating multiwall polymeric cylindrical tubing, a drill head is slidably mounted for reciprocating movement on a support frame between inlet and outlet stations, the drill head having at least one drill for forming an opening in the wall of a length of unperforated tubing. The unperforated tubing is advanced along an axial path and a length thereof positioned in the drill head. The drill head and unperforated tubing are advanced simultaneously from the inlet to the outlet station, in unison and at the same speed, and without clamping the tubing. During this movement, the drill is actuated whereby to form an opening in the tubing material. At the outlet station, the perforated tube material is discharged from the drill head and the drill head is returned to the inlet station receive the next succeeding section of unperforated tubing and repeat the process.

Abstract: A vehicle is powered by an electric linear induction motor (LIM) in at least one of the vehicle wheels and the height from the ground and/or wheelbase changed by the wheel structure and its connection to the vehicle chassis. The LIM is disposed radially outwardly from the wheel axis of rotation and comprises a stator having an elelctrically energizable propulsion coil circumposed by a rotor. A stator shaft connects the stator to the vehicle chassis and the stator and associated shaft are fixedly-connected and angulary orbited about the inner diameter of the rotor whereby to change the height of the vehicle chassis from the ground or the wheelbase of the vehicle. The rotor is supported for rotation about the stator by bearings, or by magnetic levitation, as provided by a ring of permanent magnets in the rotor disposed in juxtaposition with an electrically energizable levitation coil in the stator.
Abstract: A three element antenna utilizes a truncated parabolic reflector dish of diameter “d” and focal point “f” and a director plate for receiving and transmitting high frequency signals in conjunction with a substantially horizontal conducting ground plane. The antenna is mounted to a planar transverse end wall, defining the lower truncated end of the parabolic surface, and the antenna elements are proximate to the focal point “f” of the paraboloid that defines the dish. The director plate is positioned at the opening (defining the diameter “d”), is distal to the focal point and the antenna elements, and positions an array of director rods about the antenna elements to focus signals relative to the parabolic surface. The ratio of (f/d) is about 0.01 to about 0.625, and preferably about 0.210.
Abstract: A re-usable shrinkwrap material is defined by a shrinkable material capable of retaining its shape after shrinking. A releasable fastener, such as a zipper, hook and loop fastener or the like is secured to the material and is used to secure the material to an article to be sealed prior to the shrinking thereof. The material is a pre-formed shell which loosely conforms to the shape of the article to be sealed prior to being applied thereover. After shrinking, the shell can be removed by releasing the means for fastening or releasable fastener. Since the shell retains its shape it can then be re-used at a later date by applying it anew over the article and re-fastening together the means for releasing.
