  • Patent number: 8190498
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of systems, methods, and computer programs that facilitate verification of activity in an environment of predefined activity orchestration. Activity is captured on image capture devices in the environment of predefined activity orchestration. The activity is verified to be consistent with the predefined activity orchestration. An event is generated based upon whether the activity is consistent with the predefined activity orchestration.

  • Patent number: 7974181
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing the peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) at the transmitter can reduce the dynamic range required in various analog components. PAR can be reduced by applying a time-domain compensation signal in the oversampled regime, using tones reserved for PAR reduction. A set of vectors corresponding to PAR tones is generated by processing out-of-phase symbols for each PAR tone to form a span matrix. The span matrix is used to find a best fit of a desired target signal to a time-domain compensation signal comprising only PAR tones.

  • Patent number: 7168690
Abstract: A carburetor for an internal combustion engine includes idle passages (22A and 22B) extending through the carburetor body adjacent each cylinder bore (18A–18-D) of the carburetor, such that the idle passages bypass the cylinder bores. A common fuel flow metering circuit (30) is in fluid communication with at least two of the idle passages for joining the fuel flowing from the idle passages and redistributing the fuel back to the idle passages. A metering valve (40) is positioned in the common fuel flow circuit for metering the flow of fuel through the common fuel flow metering circuit, so that equal distribution of the fuel is delivered to the cylinders of the engine in spite of possible unequal flow of fuel being received through the idle passages.

  • Patent number: 7156627
Abstract: A compressor unit comprises a centrifugal compressor (1) for compressing a gas, having a rotor (2) with one or more compressor impellers (3), and an electric motor (4) having a stator (5) and a rotor (6), for driving the rotor (2) of the compressor. The compressor and the electric motor are accommodated in a common gas-tight housing (7) which is provided with a gas inlet (8) and a gas outlet (9). The rotor of the compressor and the rotor of the electric motor are arranged on a common rotor shaft (10) which is mounted in magnetic bearings (11, 12, 15). The rotor shaft (10) comprises a single unit and is mounted in two radial magnetic bearings (11, 12), each in the vicinity of one end of the common rotor shaft, and one axial magnetic bearing (15), which is arranged in the vicinity of one (11) of the radial bearings.
