Abstract: Device comprised of a container (3) associated to a pump (4), and intended to the forced expectoration of pulmonary mucus by generating in the total air volume of the lungs controlled oscillatory variations of pressure, frequency and amplitude up to optimum valuesso as to achieve the thixotropy of the mucus, the device being characterized in that the container (3) forming the oscillatory pressure variator contains an air volume to which is applied suddenly and cyclically a progressive oscillatory depression and communicates with the air of the lungs through a flexible hose (2) and a respiratory mask (1). The device has two conduits (6) to communicate the air contained in the lungs and the hose (2) with the tympanums.
Abstract: A railroad frog assembly is provided with a spring wing rail multi-position holdback subassembly that continuously retains the spring wing rail in each spring wing rail open position when activated by the wheels of a railcar traversing the frog assembly, and that automatically deactivates the multi-position holdback subassembly and releases the spring wing rail from retention in an open condition and for complete closing after the last railcar wheel has passed through the frog assembly.

Abstract: A railroad frog assembly is provided with a spring wing rail latch holdback subassembly that continuously retains the spring wing rail in a spring wing rail fully open position when activated by the wheels of a railcar traversing the frog assembly, and that automatically deactivates the latch holdback subassembly and releases the spring wing rail from retention in an open condition and for complete closing after the last railcar wheel has passed through the frog assembly.
Abstract: An assembly for stowing and laundering trach ties is provided with a semi-rigid trach tie carrier and with a compliant laundry bag element that is attached, inverted and "inside-out", to the trach tie carrier and that envelops the trach tie carrier when manipulated to an "outside-out" condition.
Abstract: A railcar retarder assembly for use in a railroad trackwork such as a railcar classification yard is provided with a fixed base plate, a vertically-oriented pivot shaft secured to the base plate, an elongated and curved cam member mounted on the pivot shaft, and a horizontally-oriented hydraulic subsystem piston element that induces reaction hydraulic damping forces which are transmitted horizontally to the wheel flanges of a passing railcar to thereby reduce the rolling velocity of the railcar.
Abstract: A heat exchanger (2) for cooling a hot process gas produced in a process gas generator (1) or a reactor is equipped with several cooling tubes (11), each of which is surrounded by an outer tube (12). Each cooling tube (11) and each outer tube (12) is welded at both ends to one water chamber (13, 14) each for feeding and draining of a cooling medium. The water chamber (13, 14) consists of a solid, strip-shaped piece into which, depending on the number of cooling tubes (11), circular wells (15) are introduced at a certain distance from one another. Each well (15) surrounds a cooling tube (11) and has a diameter equal to or larger than the inside diameter of the outer tube (12). The well (15) has a thin circular floor (16) of slight residual thickness in the area of the tube ends of the cooling tubes (11). A horizontal transfer line (4) carrying the hot process gas is connected to the the process gas generator (1).
Abstract: A pick assembly for use in plucking or strumming the strings of a stringed musical instrument is provided with a relatively inflexible plectrum element and a relatively flexible and short molded tether body element bonded at one end to the plectrum element and having a finger loop at the other end. A preferred tether body element cross-section, in combination with friction engagement of the pick assembly with the user's forefinger, significantly restricts rotation of the assembly about the axis of the user's forefinger.
Abstract: A groundbed electrode for the protection of an electrical/electronic equipment installation is comprised of a strip of a mixture of approximately equal parts, on a volumetric basis, of powdered crystalline carbon and Portland cement buried in earth, a copper electrical conductor wire embedded in the buried strip, and with the electrical conductor wire being connected to the electrical/electronic equipment in electrical current-conducting relation.
Abstract: Apparatus and process for reheating a meal including a plurality of prepared foods, each food being placed on a dish and the dishes constituting the meal being placed on a tray. Those food dishes to be reheated are placed in insulated receptacles having a magnetic material adapted to be induction heated.

Abstract: A scouring device for manual use has a support formed by folding two longitudinal parts about an axis of symmetry to provide a pad support having a handle which support mounts a pad for cleaning.
Abstract: A novel filter assembly for a drainage system stormwater catch basin is provided with spaced-apart open frame elements that are joined to and carry a singular mesh fabric filter element, and with manually pivotable support leg elements that permit the assembly to be collapsed for subsequent transportation, storage, or refurbishing.
Abstract: An improved reinforced friction material is comprised of a cured friction material mixture of friction particles, filler particles, and binder particles, and has a embedded honeycomb core reinforcement whose individual cells are filled with and bonded at the cell walls to the cured friction material mixture by a novel manufacturing method.

Abstract: Foodplant seed for planting in a foodplant field is comprised of a mixture of a first seed for a foodplant that has been genetically modified to have a resistance to herbicide applied during emergent growth, and by a volume of a seed having an included phenotypical difference.
Abstract: A hydraulic pump system is provided with a leakage fluid reclamation sub-system having connected eductor and fluid line elements that function to return hydraulic fluid leaked from around the system drive shaft to the reservoir of the hydraulic fluid pump.
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for removing the severed end-portions of boiler tubes installed and retained in a boiler header without consequential boiler header metal damage and in a manner whereby a compression gap of uniform width is machined throughout the length and thickness of each retained boiler tube end-portion selected for removal, the machined boiler tube end-portion is subsequently compressed to significantly close the machined compression gap and reduce the tube end cross-sectional circumference, and the compressed tube end is withdrawn longitudinally from engagement with the boiler header tube-mounting bore.
