Abstract: A reflective scatterometer capable of measuring a sample is provided. The reflective scatterometer includes a paraboloid mirror, a light source, a first reflector, a second reflector and a detector. The paraboloid mirror has an optical axis and a parabolic surface, wherein the sample is disposed on the focal point of the parabolic surface and the normal direction of the sample is parallel with the optical axis. A collimated beam generated from the light source is reflected by the first reflector to the parabolic surface and then is reflected by the parabolic surface to the sample to form a first diffracted beam. The first diffracted beam is reflected by the parabolic surface to the second reflector and is then reflected by the second reflector to the detector.

Abstract: A system and method for desorption and ionization of analytes in an ablation medium. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of preparing a sample having analytes in a medium including at least one component, freezing the sample at a sufficiently low temperature so that at least part of the sample has a phase transition, and irradiating the frozen sample with short-pulse radiation to cause medium ablation and desorption and ionization of the analytes. The method further includes the steps of selecting a resonant vibrational mode of at least one component of the medium and selecting an energy source tuned to emit radiation substantially at the wavelength of the selected resonant vibrational mode. The medium is an electrophoresis medium having polyacrylamide. In one embodiment, the energy source is a laser, where the laser can be a free electron laser tunable to generate short-pulse radiation. Alternatively, the laser can be a solid state laser tunable to generate short-pulse radiation.

Abstract: A fitting member for connecting a coaxial cable having an electrically conductive member to a second electrically conductive member. In one embodiment of the present invention, the fitting member comprises a connector body, an outer tube mounted to the connector body, an inner tube having a tube body for receiving a free end of the electrically conductive member of the coaxial cable therethrough, wherein the tube body comprises a neck portion, a flange extending from the neck portion, a first shoulder extending from the flange, a second shoulder extending from the first shoulder for engaging with the outer tube, a first step formed at the junction of the second shoulder and the first shoulder so as to limit the axial motion of the outer tube, a second step formed at the junction of the first shoulder and the flange, a third step formed at the junction of flange and the neck portion, and a sleeve tube insertable into the connector body for holding the coaxial cable.
Abstract: A thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate has a plurality of pixel units. A plurality of signal lines and a plurality of scanning lines are formed on the substrate. Each of the plurality of paired and adjacent signal lines and each of the plurality of scanning lines are arranged in a matrix form to define each pixel unit. Each pixel unit includes at least two pixels, which are abreast of the paired and adjacent signal lines. This structure thereby provides a TFT array substrate with high aperture ratio pixel structure.
Abstract: A toner supplying container detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus. In one embodiment, the toner supplying container includes a first container for receiving toner and a second container for accommodating toner and providing toner to the first container. The second container is releasably mounted to the first container at a predetermined position such that the first container and second container communicate to each other. The second container is replaceable when the toner accommodated in the second container is used up by a third container that is substantially identical to the second container but has toner therein.
Abstract: A sliding cover device arrangement for controlling toner passage between a toner container and a developing device of an image forming apparatus, wherein the developing device has a plurality of toner receiving openings formed thereon, and the toner container is adapted for holding toner and supplying toner to the developing device, and has a plurality of toner supplying openings formed thereon corresponding to the plurality of toner receiving openings.

Abstract: A power-off protection device. The device outputs operating power according to a first level signal and a second level signal, and comprises a processor, a modulating circuit, a power generating circuit, and a reference-voltage maintenance device. The processor outputs a voltage modulating signal. The circuit is coupled to the processor and the first level signal to output a voltage control signal responding to the voltage modulating signal. The power generating circuit is coupled to the second level signal and the modulating circuit for generating operating power from the second level signal according to the voltage control signal. The reference -voltage maintenance device is coupled to the first level signal and the modulating circuit to delay the drop time of the first level signal to confirm that the first level signal is higher than the second level signal when the first level signal and the second level signal are turned off.
Abstract: A process cartridge and developer container assembly is constructed to include a main cartridge holding an electrophotographic photosensitive member, developing means, charging means, and cleaning means, a developer container holding developer and detachably secured to the main cartridge, and a coupling member for enabling the developer container to be detachably coupled to the main cartridge. The main cartridge has a plurality of developer receiving openings, and a first sliding cover, which opens the developer receiving openings upon installation of the developer container in the main cartridge, or closes the developer receiving openings after removal of the developer container.
