  • Patent number: 7406964
Abstract: An improved underwater breathing apparatus includes a gas- and liquid-tight helmet, with an attached air valve, tank coupling and tank bracket. The helmet further includes a flange generally conforming to the shoulders of a user, and incorporates ballast material. The air valve is attached to the helmet with the tank coupling and the tank bracket is attached to the tank coupling. When worn, the tank bracket is oriented substantially parallel to, and a finite distance away from, the user, whereby only the flange contacts the user. In other embodiments the helmet further includes an optically transparent face shield, or the entire helmet is may be manufactured from an optically transparent material. A handle may be attached to the helmet to aid in lifting and storage. The air valve may include an air flow regulator, a compressed air supply coupling or an air flow gauge.

  • Patent number: 7380667
Abstract: A newspaper bagger system includes a bag support and a bag chute suspended around and from the bag support. The bag support includes a plurality of detachable bags that extend through the bottom of the chute. The bag chute includes a shoulder at an upper end of the chute to hang the bag chute from the bag support and can also include a vertical slot on a front side of the chute that extends down from the upper end of the chute about half the length of the chute. An upper stiffener is incorporated into the back of the chute and across the shoulder section of the chute and a lower stiffener is attached outside the chute and adjacent to a bottom of the chute. The bagger system is suspended from the interior of an automobile.

  • Patent number: 7356963
Abstract: A fish lure includes a soft, fish-shaped body including forward and aft body segments connected by an integrally-formed vertical hinge. A buoyancy-controlling insert is concealed inside the forward body segment. The vertical hinge includes a pair of vertical grooves that extend from the dorsal surface to the ventral surface of the body, defining a hinge web that attaches the forward body segment to the aft body segment. A pair of front hinge surfaces extend between a side of the forward body segment and the hinge, and a pair of rear hinge surfaces extend between a side of the aft body segment and the hinge. The front hinge surface and the rear hinge surface form a hinge angle between 5 and 20 degrees when at rest. Each front and aft hinge surface is angled aft. Water flow past the hinge angle creates flexing of the body at the hinge.

  • Patent number: 7336196
Abstract: An audio visual homing marker includes a shock-resistant housing with a power supply, audio speaker and LED array inside the housing. A power switch is attached to the housing and the power supply. The housing includes a plurality of bulkheads that create a plurality of chambers. The power supply, the audio speaker and the LED array are each contained within separate chambers. The power switch is biased to the on position. The housing is a generally cylindrical polycarbonate structure and may be a transparent material. The LED array may include a plurality of LEDs attached around the perimeter of the housing. The audio speaker can be a siren or other loud speaker. The LED array may emit a visible or non-visible light. A variety of holders and dispensers make it easy to deploy the markers from a car or aircraft.
