Abstract: A vehicle window assembly which includes first and second separate window glazing panels. The first window is fixed while the second may be pivoted between open and closed positions by a hand crank connected to a peripheral linkage system by a shaft, with the linkage connected to the second window. The hand crank is located at the center of the shaft and the shaft includes stop means for preventing overturning of the hand crank past the full open position of the window.

Abstract: Corner joiner units for connecting standard two-by-four lumber and the manner of making structures from these is depicted. The corner units are of plastic and have two horizontal sleeves for receiving horizontal two-by-fours and at least one vertical sleeve for receiving the butt end of a vertical two-by-four. The plastic unit includes internal walls and internal openings between the sleeves, so that each two-by-four received in the horizontal sleeves is in direct wood-to-wood contact with approximately half of the butt surface of the vertical two-by-four, so as to directly transfer vertical forces there between, without the joiner unit being subject to such vertical forces. Several variations of such joiner units are disclosed for different types of corners, as is a framework made from such members and two-by-fours.
Abstract: An air diffuser constructed from single piece of material, wherein the mounting member and diffuser sections are formed in a series of stamping operations and are interconnected by a plurality of integral links.
Abstract: A process for vaporizing a liquid curing agent includes heating the liquid curing agent while it is stored in a container. Heat is delivered to the container by a heated fluid passed through a jacket which at least partially surrounds the storage container. After vaporization, the gaseous phase curing agent, usually methyl formate, methylal, or other gases, is delivered to one or more work stations where it is used in a curing reaction.

Abstract: A control housing for storing control boxes below ground level. The housing includes an arm for raising the controls out of the housing for access. A rotatable lift assembly is connectable to a position sensitive control box and maintains the position sensitive control in its original position as the arm is raised.
Abstract: A door hinge adapted for pivotally securing a door to a second door or a supporting frame in which the two hinge plates of the hinge are connected by pinned inter-engaging tab and knuckle parts so that at least two of the tab parts support at least two of the knuckle parts and provide bearing surfaces for the knuckle parts upon pivoting movement of the hinge plates.
Abstract: In a box-type plastic frame having longitudinal strut portions in which a vaulted shearing foil is embedded and transverse strut portions made of a resilient material in order to facilitate the insertion of the plastic frame shearing foil unit into a shearing head casing member.
Abstract: A portable shelter having a pair of spaced apart runners supporting a frame carrying a suitable covering. A hinged plate extends between the runners and is shiftable between a lower position extendintg to the bottom of the runners for blocking the flow of air between the runners under the covering and a raised position to allow non-interfering movement of the shelter across the ground or ice.
Abstract: A lug loader for loading individual boards of lumber from a feed transfer to a lugged transfer in a lumber mill. A plurality of saw-toothed wheels engaged each board in turn and propels it onto the lugged transfer. A plurality of parallel stop members receive boards individually from the feed transfer, each stop member having a board-receiving portion to receive and support a board lying transversely across the stop members and a stop portion preventing further travel of the board when resting upon the stop members. The stop members are movable between raised and lowered positions and are located relative to the saw wheels such that a board lying across the stop members is maintained out of engagement with the saw wheels in their raised positions and may be lowered into engagement with the saw wheels. The presence or absence of a board on the stop members is detected and a control signal is generated in accordance with the condition detected.

Abstract: A machine for removing bubbles from coated flat substrates, namely PC boards. The machine includes one or more conveyors for transporting the boards into an enclosure and a vacuum platen positioned above the conveyor which, when lowered into contact with the conveyor encloses the board in a plenum. A pump withdraws air from the plenum to create a vacuum and remove any entrained or surface bubbles from the boards.
Abstract: A broadcast spreader which includes a storage hopper and a spinning broadcast plate for distributing materials dropped from the hopper. A valve controls the flow of material to the broadcast plate, and is operated by a dual shaft and linkage. The two shafts are connected by a biasing member which allows a squeezable actuator lever to be fully retracted regardless of the dial setting. The spreader may also include a diffuser positioned between the valve and plate to direct the material towards a preselected area of the broadcast plate. The spreader may also include a readily adjustable means to prevent discharge of material in selected direction. The spreader may also include means for restricting the rate of flow of material from the hopper to the broadcast plate for a selected setting of the valve.
