  • Patent number: 8079372
Abstract: A discreet packing system for containing and compacting finely chopped tobacco product having a shallow cylindrical body and a lid detachably secured thereto. A flexible wall is secured at a fixed end to the interior surface of the body. The flexible inner wall generally coextends the interior surface of the body and thereby defines a cylindrical volume in which the tobacco is contained. The flexible wall may be selectively locked in place relative to the outer wall of the body. In one embodiment of the present invention, a bottom is slidably connected to a cylindrical outer wall of the body. A distal end of the flexible wall is attached to the bottom and is urged via rotation of the bottom relative to the outer wall. Other embodiments are provided wherein the flexible wall extends through the body and is urged via a grip or slider.

  • Patent number: 6976454
Abstract: An apparatus for capturing and loading fowl having a mobile frame to which a forward conveyor and a rearward conveyor are pivotally mounted. The forward conveyor has plurality of fingered drums that are rotated to engage the fowl and place them on the conveyor for movement to the frame. The forward and rearward conveyors are pivotally mounted for movement about a common vertical axis. Each conveyor may also be pivotal about a horizontal axis. The fowl are discharged from the forward conveyor onto the rearward conveyor which transports the fowl from the frame to storage cages. A rearward fingered drum is provided to engage the fowl and discharge the fowl from the conveyor and into a plurality of vertically stacked forming the cage compartments. The rearward conveyor includes a first rearward conveyor pivotally mounted to the frame and a second rearward conveyor slidibility connected to the first rearward conveyor.

  • Patent number: 6016615
Abstract: An athletic shoe sole including a sole platform having a plate member slidably engaged therein for movement from a forward to a rearward position wherein the sole platform defines a plurality of ports for receiving a corresponding plurality of cleats. The cleats comprise a post having a flange attached to one end and a cleat base attached to the other. The flanges of each cleat, once inserted through the ports, passes through a corresponding plurality of key slots defined by the plate member. When the plate member is urged rearward, a slot portion of each key slot passes around the post and beneath the flange to secure the cleats to the sole platform. A threaded bolt is provided to urge the plate member between a forward and a rearward position. Bubbles are defined by the plate member about the key slot to lift the flange, post and cleat base upward and thereby urge the cleat base in pressed abutment with the sole platform. The present invention allows the user to quickly replace the cleats as required.

  • Patent number: 5853085
Abstract: A hermetically sealable envelope having an open end for containing one or more contact lenses. The envelope is divided into one or more lens containing compartments and one or more fluid containing compartments. One or more ports are formed by the envelope to facilitate communication between each of the one or more fluid containing compartments and selected one or more of the lens containing compartments. One or more flexible balloons, having a quantity of lens care solution contained therein, are encased within the one or more fluid containing compartments. The contact lenses to be cleaned are placed in selected ones of the contact lens containing compartments which are thereafter hermetically sealed by closing a tongue and groove closure defining an upper end of the flexible envelope.
