Abstract: A diode pumped, multi axial mode, intracavity doubled, intracavity tripled laser, includes at least two resonator mirrors defining a resonator cavity. A laser crystal and a doubling crystal are positioned in the resonator cavity. A tripling crystal is also positioned in the resonator cavity. A diode pump source supplies a pump beam to the laser crystal and produces a laser crystal beam with a plurality of axial modes that are incident on the doubling crystal. This produces a frequency doubled output beam.
Further, a diode pumped, multi axial mode, intracavity nonlinearly-converted laser is provided and includes at least two resonator mirrors defining a resonator cavity, a laser crystal and a nonlinear conversion apparatus positioned in the resonator cavity. A nonlinear conversion apparatus is also positioned in the resonator cavity.
Abstract: Many users of handheld computing devices or “palmtops” also own personal computers (PCs) running applications that manage data similar to the data carried in the palmtops. In such cases, users are likely to want the data on the palmtop to be synchronized with the data on the PC. The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for reconciling database files on a palmtop with corresponding database files on a PC.
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include connector assembly for a handheld computer. The connector assembly includes a plurality of conductive elements disposed on a first side of a printed circuit board housed with the handheld computer. One or more of the conductive elements has a pointed end.

Abstract: An intra-luminal vascular stent in a non-expanded state with a longitudinal axis, comprises a plurality of expansion strut pairs forming a first expansion column. Each expansion strut pair includes a stair-step expansion strut, a straight-line expansion strut and a joining strut coupling an end of the strut pair, which forms cell slot. Each of the expansion strut pair has three longitudinal axes that are aligned in a non-parallel relationship to the stent longitudinal axis. A plurality of expansion strut pairs forms a second expansion column. Each expansion strut pair includes a straight-line expansion strut, a stair-step expansion strut and a joining strut coupling an end of the strut pair, which forms a cell slot. Each of the expansion strut pair has three longitudinal axes that are aligned in a non-parallel relationship to the stent longitudinal axis. A plurality of serial connecting struts forms a first serial connecting strut column and includes a first serial connecting strut.
Abstract: To efficiently recognize characters from several character sets, a palmtop computer system is disclosed wherein more that one character input area is displayed. Each character input area is designed to recognize strokes that represent characters from a different character set. In one embodiment, the palmtop computer system has an alphabetic input area and a numeral input area. In such an embodiment, strokes entered in the alphabetic input area are interpreted as alphabetic characters and strokes entered in the numeral input area are interpreted as numerals.

Abstract: A phase locked loop is provided that includes a phase comparator for receiving an incoming signal with which is desired to lock. A loop filter processes a current error signal. An integrator adjusts the output to account for the error. The phase comparator, loop filter and integrator are formed from logic elements.
