Abstract: An Airway Management Apparatus (AMA) and method for aiding in airway patency/preventing airway obstruction under sedation in the supine position and other situations where tongue and jaw relaxation occurs, by maintaining the jaw thrust/chin lift position and neck extension. It is also useful when airway patency is compromised due to abnormal neuromuscular tone, redundant soft tissue or an increase in upper airway adipose tissue. The ARM Headrest includes lateral extensions which house the foam wedges to provide the mechanical jaw thrust maneuver when positioned under the mandibular angles. When strapped under the chin to perform the jaw thrust/chin lift maneuver, it is very effective in opening up the airway in a large population of patients who obstruct during sleep, sedation, etc. It also has a head and neck support having a partially concave and partially convex surface, respectively.

Abstract: The motor according to the present invention consists of a piston (1), cylinder (2), connecting rod (3), connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4), connecting rod rotary bolt (5), crank shaft (6), crank shaft bolt (7), double faced gear wheel (9) and other gear wheels (10, 11, 12). As the connecting rod (3) is moved by the connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4) that moves together with the connecting rod rotary bolt (5), without being directly dependent on the movement of the crank shaft bolt (7) although the connecting rod (3) is connected to the crank shaft (6) and to the piston (1); the crank shaft (6) moves independently of the connecting rod (3). An homopolar DC generator can also be used as current source for current heating preparing workpiece for forming operation. Subsequent heating, forming and cooling processes of the metal workpiece are carried out in a controlled manner by a central synchronization unit. This process can be applicated in hot metal bulk forging, sheet forming and hot tube blowforming.

Abstract: Antimicrobial and antifogging polymeric films with preferable A/C/E structure useful for the food, medicine and agriculture applications as well as for other general packaging and non-traditional special applications. More preferably, antimicrobial and antifogging films having a A/B/C/E structure. Most preferably, antimicrobial and antifogging films having a A/B/C/D/E structure. A multilayer structure (having at least an skin layer (A) having antifogging and antimicrobial properties/ a core layer (C) / an outer layer (E) structure) for semi and biaxially oriented polyolefin based antifogging films having advantageous properties as compared with known and commercial films such as low values of haze, high values of sheen, lower longitudinal and transverse shrinkage, which provides high dimensional stability, and excellent antifogging and antimicrobial properties. Preferably the skin layer (A), having antifogging and antimicrobial properties, is electrical corona or flame treated.
