Abstract: The present invention comprises nanotube structures comprising nanotubes covalently bonded via chemically reactive groups on the outer walls of the nanotubes and methods for forming the covalently bonded nanotube structures. The present invention also comprises materials comprising the functionalized nanotubes covalently bonded to organic based monomers and/or polymers, and methods for their formation.

Abstract: The present invention provides for an integrated global biological activity detection, traffic tracking and scheduling, and boundary/border security system. Detection apparatuses of the system are preferably placed in a stream of currency such as in financial institutions and other sites of currency exchange, and are also placed in or about transportation vehicles and linked into a data collection, analysis, and graphical information system to provide early warning for security activities. Detection apparatuses located in and about transportation vehicles are combined with a system for routing vehicles into security corridors and with a system of notification, scheduling, and monitoring to enhance the capacity of authorities to insure security and efficient trade movement particularly as it approaches boundaries and borders.

Composition may additionally comprise other additives known in the art and also methods of application of the composition alone and with related compositions.

Abstract: A power level controller and method for an AC electrical appliance that can be implemented in the plug of the appliance, controlling power in response to switch closures on the appliance and/or remotely located switches, or alternatively, may be implemented as a module into which an existing appliance is inserted, thereby providing a retrofit solution for appliance control. By using multifunction switches having steering diodes, multiple commands can be transmitted to the controller, all without the need for additional control wires, since all commands are superimposed on the two conductors that deliver power to the appliance. In addition, the independent control of two polarity sensitivity loads may be implemented. With implementations using integrated circuits, the internal electrostatic discharge diodes within the integrated circuit may be used for the power supply to yield a very low parts count system.
