  • Patent number: 5843532
Abstract: A method of coating a conduit outlet fitting is disclosed. In the method, a tooling plate is positioned between a cover and a body of the conduit outlet fitting. The tooling plate has a hanger tooling block and a plug tooling block affixed thereto and positioned inside the body when the tooling plate is positioned between the body and the cover. A hanger is passed through a conduit opening and attached to the hanger tooling block. A plug is passed through another conduit opening and attached to the plug tooling block. The hanger and the plug each have a cap disposed thereon for covering an external end of their respective conduit openings. The assembled structure is suspended from the hanger and dipped into a liquid protective coating material to form an external coating thereon. The cover, the body and the tooling plate cooperate to form complementary male and female seals on the cover and the body. The dip coated structure is removed from the coating material and cured.

  • Patent number: 5666845
Abstract: A rolling mill of the present invention includes a mill stand formed by two spaced apart housings. The housings are configured to rotatably hold one of at least two sets of rolls. A hold-down assembly is coupled to the housings. The hold-down assembly includes at least a first pair of hold-down screws and a second pair of hold-down screws. The distance between the screws of the first pair of hold-down screws is less than the distance between the screws of the second pair of hold-down screws. Each pair of hold-down screws is selectively adapted to substantially align with the bearing chocks of an adjacent roll of one of the sets of rolls in the mill stand.

  • Patent number: 5346484
Abstract: In abdominal operations, particularly gyneacological abdominal operations, gauze-like material is often used in practice to hold organs such as intestines away from the operative area. This gauze-like material must in many cases be replaced during an operation and also lacks the desired stiffness to hold the intestines in particular in place in all cases. The present invention provides a cushion-like member for inserting into a relatively large body cavity, as formed during abdominal/pelvis surgery, and for restraining one or more body organs (for instance the intestines) and/or for absorbing blood and/or wound fluid, wherein the cushion-like member consists substantially of synthetic, absorbent material and has a outer contour of such shape that it is layable along and or beyond an edge of said body cavity.
