    Abstract: The present invention involves a control arm for use in the wheel suspension of a car. The arm is produced from a hollow, closed profile of high strength, extruded aluminium. The arm is produced in a wholly cold process, similar to the one used to produce aluminium fenders, involving stretch-bending, pressing, cutting and punching of the aluminium profile into the desired shape. The arm has a closed and smooth shape; in addition, it has a rib on its outer surface for fending off water and snow.

    Abstract: A power steering device of an automotive vehicle, comprises an engine of the vehicle, a steering pump driven by the engine, an actuator, a control valve connected to both the steering pump and the actuator for controlling the amount and direction of power fluid supplied from the steering pump into the actuator in response to the steering operation of the steering wheel, a centrifugal clutch having an input shaft and an output shaft for receiving the power from the engine at the input shaft and transmitting the power to the steering pump from the output shaft when the vehicle speed is low or zero, and spring means for causing the centrifugal clutch to cut off the power transmission from the input shaft to the output shaft when the vehicle speed is so high that the centrifugal force of the centrifugal clutch is larger than the biasing force of the spring means.

Thus, the printer is designed to have the substantially same width as that of the conventional ones but a remarkably reduced length compared with that of the conventional ones.

    Abstract: A dry release transfer is disclosed in which a releasable layer is adhered to a carrier sheet and a stress-resisting transferable design layer is printed on the releasable layer. The releasable layer is normally pre-stressed so that when an external force is applied to the carrier sheet , e.g. by rubbing with a stylus, this force is transmitted to the releasable layer. Since the releasable layer cannot yield to the applied force by stretching, because it is held by the stress-resisting layer, the adhesive bond between the releasable layer and the carrier sheet is weakened or is ruptured or partial or complete cohesive failure occurs within the releasable layer, thereby facilitating transfer of the design layer. A method of producing such transfers is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A liquid level measuring device for a container is disclosed. The liquid level measuring device has an elongated frame with a lower end insertable into the liquid in the container. Mounted on the frame is a buoyant floats. The floats and frame are constructed so that the floats is movable along the frame by the buoyant forces of the liquid in the container. The measuring device has a manually operable means for selectively holding the floats in a fixed position relative to the frame so that the frame and floats can be withdrawn from the liquid and the level of the liquid read by comparing the position of the floats in relationship to scale indicia on the frame. The elongated frame is made of a plurality of telescopically arranged sections so that the frame can be collapsed to a minimum length for storage and, when the device is to be used for measuring, the frame sections are moved to expand the length of the frame to the total length of the device.
