  • Patent number: 7587841
Abstract: A shoe is provided with an ankle support member to reduce the risk of ankle injury. The ankle support member is a stiff resilient piece of bendable sheet material including a base portion, and a plurality of lateral and medial strips which are inclined upwardly and rearwardly. The ankle support member is bound together with artificial spider web silk for additional strength and flexibility. The base portion has a U-shaped horizontal cross section which extends into and is bonded to the shoe sole. Some lateral strips are connected to medial strips to form inverted support loops behind the wearer's heel. Other lateral and medial strips have free upper ends which are curved toward each other in a transverse direction, and their stiffness deters lateral movement of the ankle to reduce a risk of ankle injury.

  • Patent number: 7587777
Abstract: A multipurpose multi-surface scraping tool to facilitate removing gum, grease, wax, and other such materials from the surface of carpet, grout, tile, concrete and the like. The tool has an ergonomically correct, lightweight handle with a replaceable scraper blade removably attached thereto. The handle may be formed from aluminum, plastic, or another lightweight material. The scraper blade is typically formed from stainless steel or another, wear resistant material and has scrapping teeth disposed on an outer edge thereof. The scraper blade is removable from the handle to allow re-sharpening or replacing. The opposite end of the handle structure is configured as a wrench for loosening and tightening jets on a carpet cleaning wand. The wrench may be an open end or box configuration. The combination of the scraping and wrench functions allows an operator to carry only one tool to perform frequently required operations in the course of cleaning a carpet.

  • Patent number: 7536965
Abstract: An attachment for use with a boat lift that both lifts the watercraft out of the water and allows horizontal movement of the watercraft to a position over a dock. The apparatus provides a vertical extension to the central mast of the lift apparatus. A horizontal arm attached to the distal end of the vertical extension provides an attachment point for a cable, which may be connected to the watercraft while still afloat. Raising the mast raises the suspended watercraft above the water while a cradle assembly upon which the hull of the watercraft normally rests is disposed a predetermined distance below the hull. Once the hull is raised above the dock, the vertical mast rotates to position the watercraft over the dock. The cradle is positioned underneath the dock. The watercraft may be lowered onto the dock with no intermediate structure between the hull and the dock surface.

  • Patent number: 7490561
Abstract: A pallet assembly has multiple supporting ties and multiple top deck panels. The supporting ties are placed at intervals and are parallel to each other. Each supporting tie has multiple top mounting holes. The top mounting holes are formed in a top of the supporting tie. The top deck panels are elongated, are mounted on the tops of the supporting ties and are perpendicular to the supporting ties. Each top deck panel has multiple mounting pins. The mounting pins protrude down from a bottom of the top deck panel and are respectively and securely mounted in the top mounting holes. The top deck panels can be rapidly assembled with the supporting ties and are protected from sliding relatively to the supporting ties so that a structure of the pallet assembly is firm.
