Abstract: A method of mounting a speaker enclosure for a ceiling or wall mounted speaker which includes the selection of a flexible polymer speaker housing forming a hollow chamber having a speaker opening therein and being collapsible to a smaller size. A hole is cut into a building, ceiling or interior wall and a selected speaker housing is collapsed to a size to fit through the speaker opening in one side of a ceiling or wall. The collapsed flexible polymer speaker housing is then expanded on the other side of the ceiling or wall and attached to the ceiling or wall with an adhesive or the like adjacent the opening and a speaker attached to the ceiling or wall opening.

Abstract: A safety bed apparatus has upper and lower panels which can be lowered below the level of the mattress for easy egress and ingress into the bed. A grooved track is mounted to each of the two bed posts, each having a grooved track mounted thereon and each having a pair of generally vertically extending parallel grooves therein. Each vertically extending groove has a plurality of downwardly angled grooves extending therefrom and ending with a generally vertical locking notch. The top and bottom entry panels each have a plurality of pins on the edges thereof which slide in the vertical grooves and into the angled grooves and locking notches to lock the top panel over the bottom panel in a raised position.

Abstract: A firefighter training apparatus includes a sled base having a plurality of sled runners and an upright post attached to the base. The upright post is slidably attached to the base for adjusting the height of the post. A pole is attached to the post with a pole-to-post attaching mechanism which pole is movable against a resistance force so that pushing the pole against the resistance force provides an exercise routine for a firefighter simulating the breaching of a ceiling. The sled base has a section of firefighter's hose attached thereto which can be grasped by the firefighter for pulling the firefighting training apparatus to simulate the pulling of a fire hose. The base also has removably attachable weights for increasing or decreasing a load pulled by the firefighter. A pair of straps is attached to the sled base for a firefighter to pull to simulate removing of victims from a hazardous environment.

Abstract: A sprinkler apparatus 10 for providing more even coverage of a sprinkled area with water which is achieved by a different speed of rotation of a water deflector 13 relative to a water diffuser 12 in a wobbling sprinkler head. A diffuser head 11 is rotatably attached to a base 16 and has a water diffuser 12 for diffusing water passing therethrough. A water deflector 13 is rotatably attached to the rotatable diffuser head 11 for directing water emitting from the nozzle 21 through the water diffuser 12. A viscous fluid brake 15 couples the water deflector 13 to the water diffuser 12 to vary the speed of rotation of the water diffuser 12 relative to the water deflector 13 to obtain a more even coverage of the area being sprinkled.
