  • Patent number: 5523865
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thinfilm transistor array designed to drive an active-matrix type liquid-crystal panel to be incorporated in a liquid-crystal display device, and is to offer a thinfilm transistor array solving the conventional problems of disconnections possible between the display electrodes and the drain electrodes and short-circuits possible between the display electrodes and the data wiring. By these, high-quality images can be displayed with a high reliability can be obtained together with an improved fabrication process thereof. In order to accomplish these objectives of the invention, the display electrodes of said thinfilm transistor array are disposed between the gate insulation layer and the inter-insulation layer, and the display electrodes are connected to the drain electrodes by means of a data wiring disposed through contact holes provided through the inter-insulation layer.

  • Patent number: 5523549
Abstract: A ferrite composition is created by adding a high Curie temperature ferrite, such as lithium ferrite, to a soft magnetic ferrite, such as magnesium manganese zinc ferrite. The composition is used in a microwave oven dish or laminate wrap to crisp or brown food by maintaining the food at a desired temperature during microwave operation. The high Curie temperature ferrite is preferably selected from the group consisting of lithium ferrite, nickel ferrite, copper ferrite, magnesium ferrite, strontium ferrite, barium ferrite, manganese ferrite, strontium zinc ferrite, barium zinc ferrite, and mixtures thereof. Additionally, the preferred process of making the new ferrite composition for use in microwave browning dishes includes the low-cost method of sintering raw materials in an air atmosphere. A browning plate including the ferrite compositions, and a microwave oven suitable for use with the browning plate are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5522052
Abstract: A pipeline processor comprises a memory stage arithmetic unit, a data dependence detecting unit and a control unit. The data dependence detecting unit outputs a detection signal to the control unit when it detects the data dependent relationship between a load instruction LD and a subtraction instruction SUB to be executed next thereto. The control unit receives the detection signal to control such that load data to be loaded from a memory unit according to the load instruction LD is inputted to the memory stage arithmetic unit. The memory stage arithmetic unit executes subtraction by using the load data in a memory stage of the subtraction instruction SUB.

  • Patent number: 5520658
Abstract: A dispensing device for dispensing at least two fluids comprises a housing (12,22) of a pistol-like configuration having an integral handle (50), in which a spring-biased trigger (60) is received. Within the housing (12,22) of the dispensing device (10), two syringes (80,81) are received and fixated, which syringes contain respective fluids to be accurately dispensed. Provided a cover (22) of the housing is closed, the motion of the trigger (60) relative to the handle (50) is transmitted to a toothed rack which cooperates with a propeller body (70) in a ratchet-like manner. The ratchet-like cooperation allows a uni-directional motion of the propeller body (70) and prevents a motion of the propeller body (70) in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 5520590
Abstract: A transfer case for a part-time four wheel drive vehicle includes a planetary gear speed reduction assembly driven by the transfer case input shaft for providing high and low speed range outputs. The planetary gear assembly is disposed between and is selectively engaged by primary and secondary clutch collars, the primary clutch driving the rear (primary) output shaft in either the high or low speed ranges. The secondary clutch drives the front (secondary) output shaft through a chain drive in the low range. The clutch collars are controlled by a single (common) clutch operator. An electromagnetic clutch assembly driven by the input shaft selectively drives the front output shaft chain drive. The electromagnetic clutch functions both as a synchronizer and torque delivery device. The transfer case may be combined with a control which facilitates direct selection of vehicle drive mode.

  • Patent number: 5519630
Abstract: Together with circuit data of circuit elements, there is stored, in a memory device, external specification information of each of the circuit elements, the information including (i) function information of each of the terminals of the circuit elements and (ii) selection information representing a wiring condition for each of the terminals. When the element arrangement and external specification information of a circuit to be designed, are entered, pieces of external specification information are compared with one another to obtain pairs of wiring candidates of a circuit which connects, to one another, the circuit elements of the circuit to be designed. Based on the pairs of wiring candidates, there is generated wiring information which satisfies each wiring condition. Based on the pieces of wiring information thus generated, there are automatically generated circuit data of the circuit to be designed.

  • Patent number: 5519859
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for generating structured query language instructions for communication to a database. In response to receipt of user-supplied input dimensions, an output table is automatically selected that represents the user's query of the relational database. The system automatically identifies and generates the links between data in predefined data tables within the database and the automatically selected output table. From the output table and data links, structured query language instructions are automatically generated. A technique is included to select the minimum number of tables reflective of the input dimensions. Each link between the input data tables and the output table is checked bi-directionally to ensure the integrity of the table selected.
