Abstract: A closure assembly to be installed in an opening for a building, said closure assembly comprising a frame for supporting a moveable closure member therewithin, said frame including top, bottom and side members, one of the members including a hollow pocket within the interior of said member and for receiving a spring biased roller assembly upon which a flexible material is accumulated, said flexible material being selected from a blind, a bug screen, a solar screen, or the like, the flexible material being movable between a fully retracted first position whereat the material is contained within the pocket to a fully extended second position whereat the material covers some or all of the opening of the building.

Abstract: A closure assembly comprising at least two closures moveable in a closure frame, said closure frame including a header, sill and including a track sized to extend the full-length the header and sill thereby providing for guided movement of each individual closure to the maximum extent to and from a fully closed position, the at least two closures presenting a straight line, in-line, closure, such as a window, entry door, French door, patio door assembly and when the closures are pivoted from a closed position whereat said closures are parallel to the extension of said closure frame to a second position wherein free end of the closer is pivoted away from the closure frame, the free end of said closure including an inter-engaging member which inter-engage with adjacent members to brace together said closures thereby against any loading such as wind loads or the like.

Abstract: A sliding screen frame for a closure assembly having an opening and an existing track for mounting a screen, the screen frame has framing sections with both inner and outer side edges, and a housing from which a screen is payed out and accumulated. The framing sections are adapted on the outer side edge to interfit with the existing track of the closure assembly to enable the sliding screen frame to slide across the opening of the closure assembly and the frame sections also being adapted on the inner side edge thereof to support and guide the free end of the screen between a fully payed out and a fully accumulated position. The screen frame has a mitreless corner connector for connecting adjacent framing sections without the need for mitre cuts thereof to establish continuity between the corner connector and the adjacent framing sections.

Abstract: A substantially zero clearance clamping pivot shoe having a top camming member and a bottom camming member, each camming member including camming elements. A top clamping element and a bottom clamping element disposed between the camming members for clamping a portion of a track within which the shoe is disposed. The clamping elements each including camming surfaces and braking surfaces such that as a window to which the shoe is attached pivots, the camming surfaces and the camming elements interact to urge the clamping elements together to clamp the portion of the track therebetween.

Abstract: A reinforcing block for a closure tilt latch, comprising a body fastened in a closure track fastened to a frame, said body having a top and bottom and having a locking detent extending therein said locking detent providing a vertical face extending toward said top of said body from intermediate said top and bottom, the tilt latch being compatible with the vertical face of said locking detent, wherein when said latch engages said detent said block provides a reinforcement path to the closure frame to strengthen the loading capability of said closure and to reduce the risk of the latch from disengaging said track under loading which track would be subject to distortion had the block not been utilized.
