Abstract: A pelt board is disclosed for stretching and drying of tubular pelts, the pelt board having a tip end (13) from which the pelt is drawn onto the pelt board and a foot end (11), the pelt board comprising two broad elongated side surfaces (14, 15), wherein the pelt board comprises expansion means (3, 6) defining a narrow elongated side surface extending between side edges (4, 5, 7, 8) of the two broad elongated side surfaces (14, 15), and activation means (9) for selectively moving the expansion means (3, 6) to an expanded position and locking the expansion means (3, 6) in the expanded position, or unlocking the expansion means (3, 6) so that the expansion means (3, 6) are movable to a non-expanded position in which the outer cross-sectional circumference of the pelt board is reduced as compared to the expanded position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for positioning an individually metered out food portion on an animal cage arranged ranged in a row of animal cages for fur animals by means of a motorized feed cart comprising wheels and a feed container, comprising the steps of: —moving said feed cart along a row of animal cages, —providing an output from an encoder corresponding to the angular turning of one of said wheels to a control unit, —determining that the feed cart has reached a given position corresponding to a given cage from said output and a database of information related to positions of animal cages and desired size of food portions to each animal cage, and —controlling the feed cart to metering out the desired food portions at a suitable food delivering place at the given animal cage according to the information in said database.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for processing the skin side of a tubular fur (2), which apparatus comprises a tapering mandrel (3) with a first part (3a) that is thinner than a second part (3b) of the mandrel, on which mandrel (3) the tubular fur (2) can be drawn from the first part of the mandrel (3 a) towards the second part of the mandrel (3b) so that the skin side of the fur (2) faces outwards and the fur side of the fur faces inwards towards the mandrel (3), and at least a first scraper unit (4), comprising at least one scraper roller (4a) which, during operation and in contact with the skin side, is arranged to rotate so that scraping elements (6) on the scraper roller (4a) scrape the skin side of the fur (2).

The apparatus removes furs from the pelting boards (8) in an upright position that are successively supplied in upright position, and which at a wide end of the pelting boards are fixed in fixing holes in a top plate of a drying cart (6) in such a way that the upright pelting boards (8) with furs are in transverse and longitudinal rows. Abstract: The present invention is a method for fixing a fur on a pelting board (6) which is temporarily held in a pelting board holder (2), where the fur is put on the pelting board (6), where end parts of the fur are retained in a fur holder (3), and where the fur is stretched on the pelting board (6) to a desired length. Preferably the end part of the fur is fixed on the pelting board (6) by winding with a winding material (13), such as a band. The invention further is an apparatus (1) for securing a fur on a pelting board (6), where the apparatus (1) includes a pelting board holder (2), a fur holder (3) and a band winding unit (4), and where the band winding unit (4) is arranged for moving around the pelting board holder (2).
