  • Patent number: 4922104
Abstract: An infrared spectrum measuring microscope apparatus which is suitable for accurately identifying the material at a microfine portion. A sample stage is vertically moved and special optical means are provided in the sample stage for enabling high-sensitivity spectral measurement of a microfine portion of samples of various sizes. The infrared microspectometer of the present invention also enables the chemical species of the sample to be identified by the fluorescence spectrum in addition to the information of the infrared spectrum.

  • Patent number: 4855993
Abstract: A ring network data transmission system includes a plurality of transmission apparatuses, at least one terminal connected to each of the transmission apparatuses and double ring transmission paths interconnecting the transmission apparatuses in a ring-like system configuration so that terminals can communicate with one another through the associated transmission apparatuses. When a transmission fault occurs in the network, the transmission apparatus which can serve as the master station issues to all of the other transmission apparatuses a command for searching the fault location. In response to the reception of the command, each of the other transmission apparatuses sends out a monitor signal containing its own address and at the same time checks monitor signal received.

  • Patent number: 4844963
Abstract: Fillers are mixed into a resin solution used to form a resin layer on the substrate of a magnetic disk. Therefore, the distance from the boundary between the resin layer and magnetic film to the filler top as well as the distance from the surface of the magnetic film to the top of the filler in the magnetic film are freely adjustable by appropriately setting the particle size of mixed fillers, thickness of the resin layer and thickness of magnetic film independently or in combination. Thus, the magnetic disk can be designed with a considerably improved freedom.

  • Patent number: 4843543
Abstract: A storage control device is connected between a number of access request control units and a storage device including a number of memory units. The apparatus includes a number of transmission units, each corresponding to one of the access request control unit. Each transmission unit receives access requests from its associated access request control unit and divides the access requests into a number of groups in the order of issuance from the access request control units. The transmission units also add access request identifiers to the access requests in each group and transmit a number of access requests with access request identifiers to a number of access request deciders. Each access request decider is associated with one of the independently accessible memory units. Each decider receives the access requests directed to its associated memory unit and serially supplies the requests to that memory unit.
