  • Patent number: 11668090
Abstract: A window wall system includes a plurality of window wall modules for forming at least in part a facade of a building. Each window wall module is connected between two consecutive concrete slabs of the building and includes a bottom rail, a top rail, two vertical mullions, and a window panel. The system also includes a plurality of anchoring brackets for connecting the bottom rail of each window wall module to a respective one of the concrete slabs, and a plurality of preformed sealing membranes. Each anchoring bracket is configured to be affixed to a top surface of the respective one of the concrete slabs. Each sealing membrane sealingly engages the bottom rail of a corresponding window wall module. Each sealing membrane is interlocked with a respective one of the anchoring brackets to retain the sealing membrane in place. Each sealing membrane is made of an elastomeric material.

  • Patent number: 9617733
Abstract: A curtain wall structure that can provide a continuous sealing plane through the use of a dual density gasket and that offers improved sealing and thermal insulation properties. The curtain wall structure also provides a structural reinforcement element assembly that is integrated into a mullion of the curtain wall structure to provide a better load bearing capacity. A curtain wall water drainage cross element assembly is also provided to prevent water from flowing vertically inside the curtain wall system. An expansion joint assembly is also provided and designed as two movable parts allowing provides a sound free vertical displacement of components by means of no direct metal to metal contact between sliding parts.

  • Patent number: 5544457
Abstract: The bead comprises a frame having front and rear longitudinally extending spaced-apart flanges. The front flange faces the windowpane when the bead is interlocked with a lateral projection of a framework. A weatherstrip is connected and extends along the frame before the front flange. The weatherstrip has a portion overlapping at least an end portion of the front flange for preventing direct contact of the front flange with the framework. Two flexible portions project from the weatherstrip. The first flexible portion presses against the periphery of the windowpane and the second flexible portion presses against the framework. A securing device interlocks the bead with the lateral projection of the framework. Heat losses are reduced because the bead has no direct contact with the framework and with the air surrounding the periphery of the weatherstrip.
