  • Patent number: 11979041
Abstract: A fully integrated circuit configuration that can be utilized to prevent abnormal discharge or overcharge in ultra-portable electronic systems is described. This battery protection integrated circuit can be enhanced by the addition of traditional battery protection schemes such as current limiting, overcurrent clamping, under voltage lock out and over voltage protection. This battery protection scheme utilizes a high side switch approach utilizing an ultra-low leakage PMOS power switch rather than the traditional low side NMOS switching.

  • Patent number: 11705780
Abstract: The invention provides a method for computational fluid dynamics and apparatuses making enable an efficient implementation and use of an enhanced jet-effect, either the Coanda-jet-effect, the hydrophobic jet-effect, or the waving-jet-effect, triggered by specifically shaped corpuses and tunnels. The method is based on the approaches of the kinetic theory of matter providing generalized equations of fluid motion and is generalized and translated into terms of electromagnetism. The method is applicable for slow-flowing as well as fast-flowing real compressible-extendable generalized fluids and enables optimal design of convergent-divergent nozzles, providing for the most efficient jet-thrust. The method can be applied to airfoil shape optimization for bodies flying separately and in a multi-stage cascaded sequence. The method enables apparatuses for electricity harvesting from the fluid heat-energy, providing a positive net-efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20220151860
Abstract: The described device demonstrates an apparatus and method for a collapsible wheeled walker or rollator that includes a pair of height adjustable armrests or supports. The armrests may be selectively articulated about hinge or pivot attached to a support tube. The articulating armrest may be locked into a stationary position via a locking pin for use as a typical standing rollator. Alternatively, the armrests are articulable about a hinge when the locking pin is removed, where a damper is interconnected between the hinge and a handle tube attached to the armrests to provide resistance to the movement of the armrests allowing a user to exercise arm muscles while using the wheeled walker. As such the disclosed device operates as both a wheeled walker and an exercise mechanism for the user's arms and upper body.

  • Patent number: 10887476
Abstract: A system and method of using published electronic documents to create communications links between different readers and authors. The original documents may have been optically scanned paper publications, and thus need not initially contain any electronic metadata. These readers and authors may be previously unknown to each other. Here document readers install user-side software on their computerized devices, and these, in turn, communicate with cloud servers running server-side software. Users indicate documents of interest and may assert authorship over some of the documents. The system automatically scans the documents, extracts authorship information, and can use this authorship information to establish electronic links between the readers and authors. Users can exchange comments within the context of any given document, have these comments relayed to authors or other users, and receive context-specific replies back.
