  • Patent number: 6901639
Abstract: A stentering machine having a horizontal drying zone and a vertical pretreatment zone for a web of material spread out between stentering chains is described. The stentering chains are brought from the vertical position into a horizontal position in a deflection zone. In order to achieve the result, in the case of a stentering chain with deflection about axes that stand vertical to the surface of the web of material, that the chain can be guided through the deflection zone with tilting of the linking pins, without damage to the pin bearings, the deflection pins are configured to be crowned elements. The deflection bolt bearings are shaped to correspond to the crowning of the pins.

  • Patent number: 6868592
Abstract: A stentering machine having a horizontal drying zone and a vertical pretreatment zone for a strip of material held spread out between tension chains configured as slide chains is described. The tension chains are brought from the vertical into the horizontal position in a deflection zone. In order to achieve the result that the slide pads that carry the tension chain, in each instance, make area contact with the related support guideways both in the horizontal, level region and in the curved region of the guide rails, the slide surfaces of the supporting slide pads that are affixed to the chain are divided into three consecutive zones, in the transport direction, namely a level edge zone, a curved center zone, and a second level edge zone.

  • Patent number: 6865783
Abstract: A stentering machine having a drying zone and a pretreatment zone for coating a web of material on both sides and drying it is described. One aim consists of deflecting a web of material coated in the vertical position and stretched out in width, in order to introduce it into a conventional flat tenter frame, without damaging the coating. According to the invention, the web of material is needled into a pair of stentering chains having a predetermined chain pitch, and deflected from the vertical into the horizontal position on such a large arc that the difference between the sum of the chain pitches that form the arc chords and the arc length itself becomes small enough to be ignored.

  • Patent number: 6806957
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for plain dyeing a textile web of fabric by means of a padding mangle. The squeezing force distribution between the rollers of the padding mangles is controlled according to the dye distribution in the web of fabric which is still provided with the initial humidity on the output of the padding mangle, whereby the dye distribution is measured on certain points by means of a dye measuring appliance. Measuring the dye of the humid web of fabric is simplified and the measured result is improved when a dye receiver is used as the dye measuring device, whereby the receiver separately detects the radiation of a white light source according to pure dyes, the radiation being reflected on the web of fabric in a diffuse manner.

  • Patent number: 6782687
Abstract: A roller chain for moving a web of textile material in a tenter frame. The roller chain has inner members flexibly joined to outer members in an alternating manner with a sleeve and a bolt. A running roller having an inner ring; an outer ring and sealing rings forming a ball bearing assembly is mounted on the sleeve. The sealing rings substantially seal ball bearings enclosed in the running roller. The sealing ring has a spacing element consisting of individual metallic inserts distributed approximately equally around a circumference of the sealing ring. The spacing element transmits axial force applied to an inner tab of an inner member to an inner ring of the running roller. The sealing ring has a lubrication groove formed thereon in fluid communication with a lubrication hole on a sleeve and a lubrication channel in an interior of the bolt for lubricating the ball bearing.

  • Publication number: 20040118256
Abstract: A method for monitoring the removal of a selvedge cut off from the edge of a textile fabric web, at the exit from a stretcher frame has means for removing, particularly vacuuming away, the cut-off selvedge and means for monitoring the removal. In order to prevent the possibility that the selvedge is drawn back into the machine counter to the vacuum direction, the selvedge is passed over an easily moved wheel, in such a manner that the wheel is necessarily entrained by the transported selvedge. The direction of rotation of the wheel is detected.

  • Patent number: 6582478
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparative and reactive dyeing of cellulose material. In order to shorten the process time of conventional preparing agents and continuous operation, to make superfluous neutralizing agents for removing excess peroxy compounds as well as to reduce the mechanical equipment required vis-à-vis prior art and to reduce the use of chemical agents, the cellulose material soaked with the treatment liquor is continuously dried with pulsated air at approximately the same disintegration rate as the peroxy compounds thus used. Alkali remaining in the material from pretreatment which remained in the material is used for dyefixing said material.

  • Publication number: 20010034955
Abstract: A relaxation dryer for the stress-free drying and simultaneous relaxing shrinking of a web of textile material. The material web is guided along a sinusoidal course in the relaxation channel between two air-permeable transport belts by alternately blowing the web from the top and from the bottom. In order to exert on the web an additional tumble effect, the sinusoidal curve of the web is disturbed at preset intervals by air-impermeable strips provided in one and/or the other transport belt.

  • Patent number: 6073368
Abstract: Described is a drying and/or fixing device for blowing at a textile material web, which is transported in its longitudinal direction in the broad-stretched condition through at least one treatment field and blown at there from blowboxes with a treatment gas. In order to assure that the treatment gas flowing off from the material web--viewed over the width of the material web--is discharged everywhere with the same suction pull, provision is made with the help of flow guide means associated with the back sides of the blowboxes that the treatment gas flowing back upon treatment of the material web can only flow off tangentially on the longitudinal edges of the treatment field corresponding with the edges of the material web.

  • Patent number: 6038750
Abstract: The invention relates to a stenter for a textile material web with two chain conveyors mounted to be pivotable in a scissor-like manner in the feeding section of the machine. The chains extend in the chain conveyors and have gripping means for grasping the material web edges. The free wings or webs of the pivotable chain conveyors are mounted to be movable on a horizontal support by carrier wheels. At least one carrier wheel is in the form of a driven friction wheel, and a drive motor is directly associated with the carrier wheel.

  • Patent number: 5885305
Abstract: A device is provided by the invention, with which it is possible to execute a method for the dye fixation in reactive dyeing of cellulose goods or cellulose fibers of all types in a dye liquor containing auxiliaries for binding the reactive dye to the cellulose fibers, wherein in an air dryer the cellulose goods which are padded with the dye liquor can be subjected to a retentive treatment of predetermined length with a predetermined steam content of the air in the drying chamber. In the device the residual moisture of the cellulose goods is maintained at a value as far as the outlet of the chamber in which the reaction of the dyestuff with cellulose fibers takes place. A defined steam content of the chamber air can simultaneously be continuously--even with light goods--regulated independently of the weight of the goods, i.e. also independently of the amount of water brought into the dryer with the goods.
