Abstract: Apparatus for embossing preformed particle board retains the board in a desired position after insertion between a first and a second press plate (4;3) in a press and releases after pressing the board from the press plates. The product (7) is sucked tight against the first press plate (4) after being placed in a desired position in the press. The suction process takes place either directly or via an intermediate permeable means (12; 14) and is so adjusted that it will be sufficient to stip off the board from the second press plate (3). Subsequently, the suction force may be replaced by a pressure force, for releasing the board (7) from the first press plate (4) or the intermediate means (12; 14).

Abstract: A gas generator plant with a gas generator and a process water system for cooling or scrubbing liquid comprises at least one heat exchanger for transferring heat to the process water. The plant has a pressure controlling means in the conduits for the process water connected to the heat exchanger. This pressure controlling means may consist of a pressure increasing means in the supply conduit for the process water or a pressure decreasing means in the return conduit for the process water.

Abstract: A device for tightening, prestressing and untightening a threaded joint has a body for mounting around a nut in the joint. The body is provided with pistons, actuated by pressure medium for providing an elastic elongation of a screw in the joint. Inclined planes are arranged to convert the axial movement of the pistons to a turning movement for turning the nut thereby achieving tightening or untightening of the threaded joint. The angle of the inclined planes are so adjusted that there is a suitable relationship between axial force and torque.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for feeding material to a gas generator. A cell feeder is provided for preventing backflow of gases through the feeding apparatus from the gas generator. The cell feeder includes a housing having an axial passage extending therethrough defining a path of travel for material from an inlet opening to an outlet opening, first and second pistons mounted in the housing for compressing and transferring material received in the housing along the path from the inlet to the outlet, each of the pistons also alternately blocking and unblocking the path whereby material received within the housing will be compressed prior to the opening of the outlets, thereby preventing the backflow of gases.
