  • Patent number: 9583242
Abstract: A resistive voltage divider includes at least a first and a second resistor electrically connected in series. The resistors are made of an electrically resistive film material and each resistor is applied as a trace onto an insulating substrate. The divider's voltage ratio has a value between one hundred and one million. In order to achieve these high voltage ratios, a third resistor is electrically connected in parallel with the second resistor. The trace of the second and of the third resistor each overlap on one end at least in part with a first contacting terminal and on the respective other end at least in part with a second contacting terminal. A compact size of the divider is maintained by arranging the first and second contacting terminals in an interdigitated manner.

  • Patent number: 9575920
Abstract: Exemplary methods and systems are directed to transmitting a process map of a control or automation system via a gateway device. The gateway device includes at least one first functional unit connected to a higher-ranking control unit via a first communications link based on a primary field bus protocol, and at least one second functional unit connected to at least one field device via a second communications link based on a secondary field bus protocol. Binary signals are stored in corresponding registers and analog signals, which are in an integer format, are transmitted to the first functional unit such that the number of binary signals is reduced by packing the binary signals into data bytes. The data bytes are translated into corresponding telegrams that can be processed by the primary field bus protocol and with the analog signals are transmitted to the higher-ranking control unit.

  • Patent number: 9529351
Abstract: A system for parameterizing field devices of an automation or control system includes a higher-ranking unit, which is connected via a first communication link based on a first field bus protocol to a communication interface module. The module is connected via a second communication link based on a second field bus protocol to at least one field device. In the higher-ranking unit, sub-blocks are generated and stored from a data structure for configuring the field device that is stored in a device description file for the field device. A first network service transmits the parameters of the field device from the higher-ranking unit via the first communication link into a first functionality of the module that operates as a slave function. A further functionality integrated into the module evaluates parameters of the field device that are stored in sub-blocks and combines the parameters to form a single configuration block.

  • Patent number: 9448215
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to an optical gas analyzer device that includes at least one measuring chamber in the form of a tubular measuring cuvette through which measuring gas flows. The measuring chamber is illuminated longitudinally by a radiation source that is arranged at an input end thereof and the light beam of which weakened by absorption losses is detected for gas concentration analysis by at least one detector arranged at an output end. The measuring process is calibrated using a reference spectrum. A special optical filter can be inserted into the measuring process in place of the measuring cuvette. The filter material of the filter generates a plurality of strong absorptions across the entire wavelength range of the measuring spectrum in order to cause attenuations that in the particular spectral position correspond to those of the gaseous measuring medium in greater concentration.

  • Patent number: 9354626
Abstract: A method for restarting a robot after a premature interruption of a processing program, which controls it, at an interruption point. The robot has an atomizer apparatus for automatic coating of workpieces, and the processing program is used to preset a nominal movement of the atomizer apparatus with respect to a workpiece, which is to be coated and can be moved by means of a feed device, and to preset the associated nominal atomizer parameters. After the interruption of the processing program, the atomizer apparatus is first of all moved to a restarting point, which is located on the nominal movement path and is located ahead of the interruption point. After this, the atomizer apparatus is then moved on the nominal movement path, corresponding to a predeterminable velocity function, to a transfer point which is located on the nominal movement path and is located behind the interruption point. The atomizer apparatus is switched on again between the restarting point and the transfer point.
