Abstract: The present invention refers to a low voltage circuit breaker with a control device for re-closing said low voltage circuit breaker. The control device is provided with an actuating element, comprising a shape memory material and operatively associated with maneuvering means for the circuit breaker. When this shape memory material performs a state transition, the actuating element causes the movement of said maneuvering means from a first operative position, associated with an open configuration of the circuit breaker, to a second operative position, associated with a closed configuration of the circuit breaker.
Abstract: An electric switching device for a low voltage circuit includes an electronic unit configured to be operatively connected to a first communication bus implementing a first communication protocol, a communication module configured to be operatively connected to the first communication bus and to a second communication bus implementing a second communication protocol, which is different than the first communication protocol. The communication module is configured to place the first communication bus in communication with the second communication bus, and to detect a condition of the switching device and make it available externally thereto by means of the first communication bus and/or the second communication bus.

Abstract: An assembly for the frame of a switchboard is disclosed, which can include a hollow member which extends lengthwise along a reference axis and which has at least one slot. The assembly can include at least one connecting element for connecting the assembly to a corresponding corner joint element of the frame, and the connecting element can include an insulating body and a fixing metal plate which is associated to a carrying part of the insulating body. The carrying part can be at least partially inserted transversally with respect to the reference axis into the hollow member through the slot, so as to arrange at least a portion of the associated fixing metal plate into the hollow member transversally with respect to the reference axis.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control mechanism for the displacement of at least one moving contact of a low-voltage circuit-breaking device. The control mechanism comprises elastic means operatively connectable to the moving contact, at least a first element of which is operatively connected to a second element by means of pin-shaped connection means. The first and second elements each comprise a pair of facing lateral portions that are connected by a transverse portion. The pin-shaped connection means comprise a pair of pin-shaped ends, each of which emerges from one side of a lateral portion of the first element. Said pin-shaped means also comprise a pair of seats, each of which is defined on a lateral portion of the second element. Each pin-shaped end is inserted in a corresponding seat so as to configure an axis of mutual rotation between the first and the second elements.
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a direct current switching apparatus including at least a first mechanical switching device which is suitable to be positioned along an operating path of an associated DC circuit and includes a fixed contact and a corresponding movable contact which can be actuated between a closed position and an open position along the operating path, wherein an electric arc can ignite between the contacts under separation. The switching apparatus includes an electronic circuit having a semiconductor device which is suitable to be positioned along a secondary path and connected in parallel with the first mechanical switching device. The electronic circuit can be configured to commute the flow of current from the operating path to the secondary path and extinguish an electric arc ignited when the movable contact separates from the fixed contact when the first mechanical switching device fails to extinguish the same.
