Abstract: A dock for a portable electronic device includes a base and a first arm supported by the base. The first arm includes a first hook coupled to an end of the first arm. The first hook is configured to engage a first edge of the portable electronic device. The dock further includes a second arm supported by the base. The second arm includes a side door movably coupled to an end of the second arm. The side door has a second hook configured to engage a second edge of the portable electronic device. The side door is movable between a first position, in which the portable electronic device is secured to the dock, and a second position, in which the portable electronic device is removable from the dock.

Abstract: Systems and methods for extracting information from a sheet of material to facilitate organization of information from paper, and other physical writing surfaces are provided. An example system includes a sheet of material and a device for scanning the sheet with an optical sensor. The sheet of material includes an indication region. The indication region allows for indictors to be marked corresponding with at least one a corresponding subregion to be extracted. The sheet of material further includes at least one fiducial mark for identifying a boundary of the sheet. The device includes a processor operably coupled to the optical sensor for causing the optical sensor to scan the sheet and detect a boundary thereof using the fiducial marks and further identify a designated subregion of the sheet. Upon identification of the designated subregion, the processor is configured to extract information contained in the designated subregion for organization of information.

Abstract: A security apparatus for securing a portable electronic device to an immovable object includes a locking head having a base and a compressible element supported by the base. The locking head is adjustable between an unlocked configuration, in which the compressible element is uncompressed and insertable into and removable from an opening of the portable electronic device, and a locked configuration, in which the compressible element is compressed and secured within the opening of the portable electronic device.

Abstract: A security apparatus for a portable electronic device includes a force-transmission member having a length, a first end, and a second end. A lock head is coupled to the first end of the force-transmission member, the lock head configured to selectively engage the electronic device and movable by the force-transmission member between a locked position, in which the lock head is secured to the electronic device, and an unlocked position, in which the lock head is unsecured from the electronic device. An actuator assembly is spaced a distance from the lock head along the length of the force-transmission member. The actuator assembly includes a body and a manual actuator pivotally coupled to the body, the manual actuator being pivotable from a first position to a second position to move the movable member relative to the body such that the lock head moves from the unlocked position to the locked position.

Abstract: A monitor riser includes a base configured to be received on a horizontal support surface. A monitor support shelf is situated atop and supported by the base. A slide mechanism is situated below the monitor support shelf. A dry erase pad is supported by the slide mechanism and movable in a frontward direction from a stowed position in which the dry erase pad is at least partially received under the monitor support shelf to an extended position. The dry erase pad, when in the extended position, is movable to a propped position in which the dry erase pad is angled from horizontal to present a dry erase writing surface toward a user at a front side of the monitor support shelf.
