Abstract: A method and device, in an embodiment, are operable or usable to execute a plurality of computer-readable instructions after a start of a publication period of an advertising campaign. The advertising campaign includes a publication schedule related to an ad, and the publication schedule includes at least one publication slot. The advertising campaign specifies a plurality of publications of the ad according to the publication schedule. The computer-readable instructions are configured to direct one or more processors to perform a plurality of steps during the publication period. The steps include performing an audience assessment step at different times. Each of the audience assessment steps includes the processing of data stored in a data source. Each of the audience assessment steps results in an audience level that has been assessed for at least one of the publications that has been published.

Abstract: A system and method operable to facilitate preparing of an advertising project are disclosed herein. The method, in an embodiment, includes a plurality of steps related to preparing an advertising project before any ads are published based on the advertising project. The steps include processing rule data associated with at least one rule; processing goal data associated with at least one goal factor; determining a plurality of ad spot sets depending at least partially on the at least one rule; determining which ones of the eligible ad spot sets either reaches the at least one goal factor or reaches a designated proximity to the at least one goal factor, resulting in a plurality of spot set candidates; and processing heuristic logic that includes at least one control setting and a plurality of optimization steps. The method also includes identifying at least one of the modified sets that results from the optimization steps.

Abstract: A goal-based method and device, as disclosed herein, are usable to identify advertising opportunity sets. The method, in an embodiment, includes executing a plurality of computer-readable instructions to cause at least one processor to modify at least one opportunity set as a result of such opportunity set deviating from an advertising goal by a first extent. The modifying step results in a modified opportunity set that deviates from the advertising goal by a second extent. The execution of the instructions causes an output that identifies the modified opportunity set.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that, in an embodiment, are related to goal-oriented generation of advertising spot sets. The system and method each involve: receiving spot inventory data associated with a plurality of TV stations; receiving a rule variable associated with an advertising rule; receiving a goal variable associated with a goal; applying the advertising rule to select a plurality of spots that are eligible to form one or more spot sets; forming or generating at least one of the spot sets depending, at least in part, on a proximity to the goal; and generating an output associated with the generated spot set.
