Patents Assigned to Acxiom LLC
  • Patent number: 11907964
Abstract: A specially programmed machine and method generates propensity information based on inputs received from machines connected as part of an Internet of Things (IoT) environment, where the machine appends a predictive segmentation attribute to each data input received and generates a matrix based on the counts of each attribute-input combination. The attribute-input counts for each combination are converted to a statistical metric that represents propensity information for consumers fitting into the segment associated with the particular attribute. The propensity information can be relayed to a client in a variety of ways, including a direct display of the propensity information, appendage of the propensity information to the clients database, or using the information to provide an audience report to the client.

  • Patent number: 11861629
Abstract: In a system and method for measuring global urbanicity, trapezoid shapes are built based on latitude/longitude boundaries using two different scales in two dimensions, thus yielding four different shapes/sizes of trapezoids. A multiplier is applied to adjust the count within a trapezoid to compensate for the fact that these trapezoids delineated by latitude/longitude lines will diminish in size as they approach the poles of the Earth. Census data is applied from a given country, and then summed up using an external data set pertaining to counts. Finally, the counts are rolled up into a set number of urbanicity “bands” or levels as desired for a particular application.

  • Patent number: 11720884
Abstract: A system for identifying a consumer at a retailer point of sale (POS) incorporates a virtual wallet database that contains consumer records. A consortium processor utilizes a database or databases with information known to the electronic tender provider but not available to the virtual wallet database. If the identifying data from the retailer POS hardware does not match any data from the virtual wallet database, an enhanced trade area append processor is employed to find a matching consumer within the retailer POS trade area. If a match is found, the applicable address is attached to the consumer data captured at the POS. A record is then sent to the consortium processor, which compares this data to its own records and returns a match or no-match result. The virtual wallet database is updated based on the match results.

  • Patent number: 11599544
Abstract: A method of searching data streams arriving over a network in order to look for a predetermined reserved set of indicia first identifies and then tags the data per the found information in a reserved indicia set. The tags are applied by “StreamTagApps” (STAs), which are small, quickly executing software applications that are each focused on the tagging of data that includes a particular indicium in order to make the identification process rapid. The method thus allows very quick action to be taken in order to maximize the usefulness of the data. Multiple STAs in one or both of horizontal and vertical configurations may be constructed in order to provide any necessary level of speed or take full advantage of an available hardware configuration.

  • Patent number: 11586633
Abstract: A method of searching data being directed into a data heap looks for a predetermined element and then tags the data per the found element. The tags are applied by data heap tagging applications or “HeapTagApps” (HTAs), which are small, quickly executing software applications that are each focused on the tagging of data that includes a particular element in order to make the identification process rapid. Multiple HTAs in one or both of horizontal and vertical configurations may be constructed in order to provide any necessary level of speed or take full advantage of an available hardware configuration.

  • Patent number: 11526572
Abstract: A computerized system automatically ensures that data from a data partner has been ethically sourced. The system reviews websites associated with URLs provided by the data provider, and privacy policy data is extracted and captured. A keyword set is used to analyze the privacy terms of websites associated with the URLs. URLs associated with websites that ethically collect data are stored in a URL database, or the URLs are given a flag or score, such that these URLs need not be checked each time a new data partner identifies these URLs as the source of its data. The system may periodically re-check the URLs to ensure that no changes have been made to the corresponding website's data collection practices.

  • Patent number: 11418509
Abstract: A cloud-based storage architecture provides for the isolation of client data in a distributed manner using a hub-and-spoke account mechanism within the cloud. Individual client data is securely isolated while still providing a master account with access to all data, including providing access from common applications to all of the data. Thus complete client isolation is achieved while simultaneously sharing the code necessary to process the data in the cloud. A separate client account may be maintained for data stored at separate physical locations, such as may be required under various privacy laws and regulations; in this manner, no data is required to leave a specified geopolitical location in order for processing to occur.

  • Patent number: 11295314
Abstract: A system and method for management of automobile recalls functions through a unified recall campaign user interface (UI) web-accessible to an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The system utilizes both first-party (OEM) data and state registration data to identify vehicle owners by vehicle identification number (VIN). Enhancement data is used to provide contact information, whereby vehicle owners may be contacted concerning a recall repair through multiple channels. The system utilizes feedback during a recall and from previous recalls, as well as segmentation of vehicle owners by behavioral and attitudinal parameters, to optimize the channel(s) and message(s) used in order to maximize recall response. The system further utilizes various feeds of information concerning the recall to optimize recall repair parts distribution among dealers and dealer workforce utilization.

  • Patent number: 11281674
Abstract: A method of searching data being directed into a data heap looks for the presence of multiple tags on data elements and then applies a group tag to those data elements if all tags of the group are identified. The tags are applied by group tagging applications or “GroupTagApps” (GTAs), which are small, quickly executing software applications that are each focused on the tagging of data that includes a particular set of tags in order to make the identification process rapid. Multiple GTAs in one or both of horizontal and vertical configurations may be constructed in order to provide any necessary level of speed or take full advantage of an available hardware configuration.

  • Patent number: 11169975
Abstract: A recognition quality management system and method is used to determine a final group quality grade (FGQG) for a database containing data structures pertaining to objects, where the FGQG is a single numeric score indicative of the quality of the recognition that has occurred within the database. The FGQG is calculated using a weighted algorithm incorporating at least three components: a string quality score (SQS) that is determined by a string distance calculation; an input quality score (IQS) that is determined from address confidence codes; and a link quality score (LQS) that evaluates a key field to determine grouping quality. The system and method allows for the determination of recognition quality across an entire database rather than using sampling and extrapolation, and thus leads to a higher quality result, and because the system and method is objective it allows comparison of recognition quality across competing recognition quality solutions.

  • Patent number: 10838919
Abstract: An entirely automated system for the interpretation of the field layout for multi-field files uses a rich contextual framework constructed by the interaction of three subsystems to provide a holistic view of the contexts of a structured data file as defined by the location and data type of each field. The roles of each of the subsystems are (1) the determination of the file's metadata and positions of the different data fields; (2) the use of fallible oracles (i.e., no oracle must be capable of identifying the type for every record) to provide a set of interpretations of the fields at several levels; and (3) the accurate determination of the location and specific data type for each field without the necessity to interpret every record correctly, even in the presence of ambiguity of data. The system may operate on both delimited and fixed-width structure files.
