Abstract: A lamp has a cup shaped base which is open at its upper end, a lamp socket mounted in the upper end of the base, a diffuser having a lower end threadably received in the base, a side wall and a top for defining an enclosed space for a lamp bulb. A lamp shade is mounted on a support is disposed at the top end of the diffuser and extends downwardly in surrounding relation to the diffuser. Set screws are provided for securing the diffuser to the base and the shade to the support.
Abstract: A lamp includes a support for a socket and a generally parabolic diffuser surrounding the socket and extending upwardly therefrom. An arm extends upwardly from the support for supporting a generally frusto-conical shade at its upper end. A screen covers the upper opening in the shade, and a wire cage guard extends downwardly from the screen to the upper end of the diffuser.
Abstract: A medical examining lamp includes a first tubular standard mounted on a base and extending upwardly therefrom and a second tubular standard telescopingly received within the first standard and having a lamp socket mounted at its upper end. A spring assembly is mounted on the lower end of the second standard and includes first and second leaf springs mounted in and diverging outwardly from one end of the second standard. The leaf springs are retained in position by deforming the end of the second standard inwardly into engagement therewith. An arcuate tip is formed on the outer end of each leaf spring for resilienly engaging the inner surface of the first standard.
