    Abstract: A system and method for automated cart washing. There is therefore provided in a present embodiment of the invention an automated cart washer that includes a sump water source, a filter drawing filtered water from the sump, a pump supplying suction to draw the water through the filter, a bypass valve to divert wash water from a wash nozzle assembly, back to the sump when water flow through the wash nozzle assembly is not desired.
