    Abstract: A quilted panel for a mattress having gel fibers incorporated therein so as to bring the gel material closer to the top of the mattress such that the benefits of the gel material are better realized by the user. In some embodiments, the gel fibers are incorporated into the FR fiber pad of the quilted panel. In other embodiments, a separate gel fiber pad is positioned within the quilted panel.
