  • Patent number: 11260597
Abstract: A method for generating an orthotic device is disclosed. The method includes receiving data from a client device of a patient, the data comprising patient information and image data representative of a body part of the patient. The method further includes generating, based on the image data, three-dimensional model data representative of the body part, and generating parametric CAD model data of the orthotic device based on the three-dimensional model data and the patient information. The parametric CAD model data is transmitted to a three-dimensional printer, wherein the three-dimensional printer is to generate the orthotic device based on the parametric CAD model data.

  • Patent number: 10528032
Abstract: A method for generating an orthotic device is disclosed. In one implementation, the method includes generating CAD model data corresponding to an orthotic device to be applied to a body part of a patient. A pattern is mapped to a surface defined by the CAD model data to produce modified CAD model data, the mapped pattern defining a plurality of perforations formed at least partially through the surface. The modified CAD model data is transmitted to a three-dimensional printer. The three-dimensional printer is to produce the orthotic device having the plurality of perforations.

  • Patent number: 10492712
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for identifying certain physical properties of human feet. The system uses electronic and optical elements to perform before and after pronation test and before and after arch tests (meaning before and after use of an orthotic), and develop a 360 degree, three-dimensional view of the foot. It includes an insertable shoe-simulator used to assist in providing before- and after analysis of pronation.

  • Patent number: 10417772
Abstract: A process to isolate objects of interest in an image uses a model which takes into account the artifacts stemming from the JPEG compression. The pixels are sorted accordingly to layers which regroup pixels of similar value, and the background is modeled by a polygon from an additional picture. Segmentation based on the knowledge of the background and the layers is then performed. This method provides good results for segmentation, while being sufficiently fast to be implemented for real time application.

  • Patent number: 10188319
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a custom made orthotic or insole for footwear. Information relating to the pressure applied by the sole of a person's foot is used to custom produce an orthotic or insole for the person by using softer material or different structural components, selectively located at pressure points of a particular individual, to unload pressure on the foot at those points. Pressure readings taken for the foot of an individual identify pressure points for that foot. The pressure points are quantified and the foot is “mapped” in a grid format on a pressure map. Once mapped, structural components corresponding to a particular pressure value are positioned in the orthotic based on the mapping. The compression cells are created via 3D printing methods based on an individual's pressure readings and results from an electronic pressure plate utilizing pressure response sensors.

  • Patent number: 9402567
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the dimensions of human feet is comprised of a base and a cover, which fits over it to define the borders of two essentially rectangular wells into which the feet to be measured are placed. A pressure pad assembly comprising a matrix of sensors is placed at the bottom of base. The walls of the wells are defined by PCBS comprising arrays comprised of a multitude of emitter/detector pairs, which are used to make length and width measurements of said feet. MCUs on the pressure pad assembly and computation means comprise software algorithms that automatically make length, width, and pressure measurements and correct errors in the length and width measurements caused by misalignment of the feet in the wells. Methods of using the apparatus are also presented.
