  • Patent number: 9011220
Abstract: A tractor cab HVAC system has a blower (22) which draws air into the system via air intake means (13) in the roof (14) of the cab (10). Ducting (15) in the roof of the cab directs air drawn in via the intake means down the center of one or more hollow adjacent pillars (16) of the cab to an air filter (18) contained in a housing (20) located between the adjacent pillars. Further ducting (19) extends from the air filter housing to an HVAC unit (11), the HVAC unit processing the air drawn into the system prior to discharging the processed air into the cab. The filter housing (20) is of generally rectangular form and is connected at opposite ends to the two hollow adjacent pillars (16) of the cab via inlet openings (20a) in the housing to allow the passage of intake air from the pillars to the filter (18).

  • Patent number: 8979216
Abstract: A vehicle power braking system has separate left and right brakes (11, 12) operable from a source of pressurized fluid (13) via relay valve means (16) controlled by separate left and right brake operating pedals (14, 15) to provide steering assistance during a turn. The relay valve means delivers a brake operating pressure proportional to the depression of the associated brake operating pedal to separate left and right shift valves (17, 18), each shift valve being connected with its respective operating pedal (14, 15) by a respective pilot line (19, 20) so that when each pedal is operated the associated shift valve is opened by the respective pilot line pressure to supply the proportional pressure from the relay valve means to the respective brake (11, 12).

  • Patent number: 8967342
Abstract: The invention relates to a brake mechanism (1) for agricultural utility vehicles. In the case of the brake mechanism (1), during a brake application an additional quantity of oil is supplied to a brake chamber (150) via an inlet manifold (180), which is fluidically connected to an oil chamber (130). The service brake is formed so that, when the service brake is operated, a first control element (120) is moved towards the brake elements (140, 141) in such a way that a brake chamber (150) is fluidically connected to the inlet manifold (180) and thus ensures an additional oil supply from the oil chamber (130).

  • Patent number: 8739918
Abstract: An exhaust system for an agricultural and/or industrial tractor (10) having an internal combustion engine (11) located in an engine compartment covered by an engine hood (11a). The system includes an exhaust gas treatment unit (16) located inside the engine compartment hood and having a main chamber (18) fed by an inlet pipe (15) which receives exhaust gases from the engine and an outlet pipe (17) which passes treated gases into a final portion (14a,14b) of the exhaust system. The inlet and outlet pipes (15,17) are non-aligned and extending alongside the main chamber (18) in opposite directions to reduce the overall length of the treatment unit. The treatment unit (16) may be installed above the engine (11) with the exhaust gases passing through the unit either generally normal or parallel to the direction of driving (D) of the tractor.

  • Patent number: 8727365
Abstract: A tractor braking system (10) having independent brake circuits (L,R) for each of a left and a right wheel is provided. Each circuit is activated by a respective brake pedal (16,17). The system comprises a releasable locking mechanism (25) to lock the two pedals together and sensors (50) to detect depression of the respective pedals (16,17). In response to a detection of only one pedal being depressed, warning means are provided to indicate to a driver that the pedals are in an unlocked state. A sensing of simultaneous depression of the pedals may be used to indicate that the pedals are in a locked state.
