The invention also concerns an apparatus for optimal operation of the process. Finally, the invention concerns the use of the process and apparatus in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

The ultrasonic acoustic waves may be compressional or shear waves. In one embodiment the coupling fluid has a viscosity varying be 200 and 800 poises.
