Abstract: A chair includes a seat body, a front leg, a rear leg, and a leg receiver. The seat body has a seating face for a person to sit on, and a backrest for a person to lean against. One end of the front leg is attached to an underside region which is underside of the seating face of the seat body, in such a manner that the one end of the front leg is capable of being rotated in relation to the seat body. One end of the rear leg is rotatably attached to the seat body at a position closer to a backrest side than a position at which the one end of the front leg is attached. The leg receiver is arranged on a floor surface. The respective other ends of the front leg and the rear leg are rotatably attached to the leg receiver.
Abstract: A table includes a pair of leg portions that has a length in a vertical direction and is hollow in shape with an opening formed at the top end thereof; a top panel that is mounted rotatably; a pair of casters, at least one such casters being provided at each of the front and the rear of a base portion of the leg portion; a contact portion that is provided on the base portion of the leg portion; and a raising/lowering mechanism that couples a movable portion, which is either one or more of the pair of casters and the contact portion, and the top panel, and switches what comes into contact with a floor surface between the pair of casters and the contact portion by raising/lowering the movable portion in accordance with a rotation of the top panel. The raising/lowering mechanism couples the top panel and the movable portion through the opening.
Abstract: A lock device for preventing rotation of a rotating portion of a piece of furniture includes a positioning device, an engaged portion, an engaging portion, a biasing element, and an operation lever. The engaging portion is rotatable around an axis parallel to a rotating axis of the rotating portion, and is engageable with the engaged portion when the rotating portion is in a position positioned by the positioning device. The engaging portion includes at least one engaging surface engageable with the engaged portion. The engaged portion includes at least one engaged surface engageable with the engaging portion. The at least one engaging surface is rotated while being moved in a direction of departing from the engaged surface in accordance with a rotation of the engaging portion by the operation lever.
Abstract: A height adjusting device includes an attachment bolt, an adjuster, a female screw portion, and a circular groove. The adjuster includes a flange portion operable from an outside and is fixed to the attachment bolt so as to be rotatable integrally with the attachment bolt. The female screw portion is formed in a piece of furniture. The attachment bolt is screwable into the female screw portion. A circular groove is formed around the female screw portion. The adjuster includes a brake portion protruding from the flange portion in a rotation axis direction of the adjuster. When inserted into the circular groove, the brake portion abuts a wall surface of the circular groove and is at least partially deformed thereby to bias the wall surface, resulting in suppression of rotation of the adjuster.
