Patents Assigned to Air Physics Corporation
  • Patent number: 5375910
Abstract: An elevating member to be disposed upon the seat of a chair to elevate to a raised position the body of a person thereon, the elevating member comprising a pair of overlying plate members being hinged at one side thereof and having a seat supporting surface thereon, the same being hinged as at the front of a seat, said members lying over two sides of an expandable member, means retaining the side walls of said expandable member forming an airtight chamber, a low pressure air supply being connected with said chamber inflating the same and angling the upper of said plate members upwardly and forwardly elevating a person seated thereon to an erect position, this device being particularly adapted for use by persons having difficulty rising to a standing position.

  • Patent number: 4918568
Abstract: Air quality control systems for rooms or other enclosed spaces relying on generators which supply charges to particles present in the air thereby purifying or otherwise controlling the condition of the air. A source of high voltage is connected to radiating surfaces of various configurations carrying electrostatic charges. A fan or other air circulating device including natural air movement insures adequate contact of the air with the charges generated to thereby achieve the desired quality control. Operating mechanisms provided in the system include voltage varying circuitry to permit adjustment of the generating intensity. A sensor is provided to detect variations in conditions thereby permitting automatic voltage variations. A remote control station is comtemplated where independent environments may be involved and where separate control of these environments is desired.

  • Patent number: 4672504
Abstract: An electronic generator for air purification includes a molded plastic housing having a flat floor and a cover. The housing has an air inlet and a fan pulls air in through the inlet and blows it out through remote outlets. Within the housing and mounted on the floor there is a concave-convex dome made of non-conducting material and having a non-conducting outer surface. The concave surface is coated with a conductive material, and high voltage providing transformer and rectifier structure are mounted within the dome in an inaccessible position. A negative high voltage potential is applied to the conducting concave surface to establish a negative electrostatic charge over the convex surface. The air moving through the housing passes over this convex surface and negative ions are produced.
