    Abstract: A dental device which comprises both an upper part fitted to the upper jaw of a wearer and a lower part fitted to the lower jaw of the wearer, wherein the upper part includes an upper magnet, the lower part includes a lower magnet, and the magnets are arranged so as to establish a magnetic repulsion between the magnets which opposes the closing of the jaw, thereby opposing direct contact between the upper part and the lower part.
