Patents Assigned to Akerlund & Rausing Licens Aktiebolag
  • Patent number: 5050763
Abstract: Reclosable lid frame having a continuous downwardly open groove (4) for receiving an upper edge part of a container and a quantity of connecting and sealing material for securing the lid frame to the container. At least the inner side wall of the groove is inclined upwardly and inwardly of the groove and has a plurality of integral spaced apart and upwardly extending ribs projecting therefrom. The ribs are substantially triangular with the longest side of each rib integral with the inner side wall of the groove. The ribs guide the lid frame into assembly with the container and cooperate with the inner side wall to define spaces for receiving connecting and sealing material as the lid frame is moved into assembly with the container.

  • Patent number: 5036981
Abstract: A wrap-around box for a unit of small containers has a bottom part and a top part integrally connected by a common rear panel. The bottom part includes a bottom panel, a front panel connected to the bottom panel, and a pair of opposing end panels connected to the bottom panel and to the front and rear panels. The top part includes a lid panel connected to the upper edge of the common rear panel along a fold line, a front panel, and a pair of opposing end panels. The front and end panels of the top part are disposed inwardly of and in face-to-face relation to the associated front and end panels of the bottom part when the box is in closed condition. Forwardly facing edges of the front panels on the top part are disposed in pressing engagement with the inner surface of the front panel of the bottom part when the box is in its closed condition and maintain the box in the latter condition.

  • Patent number: 4989394
Abstract: A radially expansible press plunge comprising two main parts named formation part (1) and expansion part (2) which are movable in relation to each other, and in which the expansion part (2) is arranged to provide an expansion of at least some part (16) of the press plunge when the said main parts (1, 2) are moved together, and in which the expansion part (2) comprises a cup formed expansion body (16), and in which the formation part (1) is designed with a formation surface (12) against which at least parts of the expansion body (16) is adapted to slide when the formation part (1) and the expansion part (2) are moved axially towards each other, and in which the expansion part (2) is materially composed of two different portions, namely an outer press portion (19) for executing the actual radially outwards directed contact pressure of the press plunge and consisting of a wear resistant, temperature resistant and elastic material, and an inner carrier portion (20) of a relatively hard, elastic material, preferab

  • Patent number: 4953343
Abstract: Apparatus for feeding a preselected number of unsymmetrical objects into a package has a vibratory transporter for feeding a predetermined number of objects to be packaged into a collector and a photoelectric device for releasing the objects from the collector into a package when the predetermined number of objects are in the collector. The transporter includes a discharge trough which is slopped to one side and has a fixed siderail and a resiliently yieldable siderail which prevent jamming of unsymmetrical objects within the trough. Tracks which feed objects from an object storage unit to the trough are arranged one above the other so that the unsymmetrical objects cannot enter the trough on edge or in stacked relation to each other.

  • Patent number: 4736870
Abstract: A powder proof, reclosable container, for instance, a container which is powder, liquid and gas or steam proof before being opened and which, after having been opened, is adapted for being reclosed under powder, liquid, gas or steam tight conditions, and comprising an outer container (1) of a supporting material, an inner bag (2) or an inner layer of, for instance, a liquid or gas proof material and a reclosable lid means (3) comprising a lid frame (11) and a closing lid (12) which may be hinge connected to said lid frame, and in which the inner bag (2) or the inner layer is sealingly connected to the lid frame (11). The lid frame is around the frame opening (15) formed with an even bottom surface (10) of such width that the inner bag (2) or a sealing foil can be sealingly connected to said edge (10), and the lid frame (11) and the closing lid (12) can be formed with cooperating means, for instance, bevelled edges, for providing a powder, liquid, gas or steam tight reclosing of the container.

  • Patent number: 4724654
Abstract: A plunger (4) for joining an inner workpiece (7) to an outer tubular workpiece (2) is disclosed. The plunger includes an expansion element (9) which engages the inner workpiece and crimps it to the outer workpiece. The expansion element (9) is an annular cup-shaped resilient element which is mounted on a part (21) which is movable relative to a body (8) and to a bottom plate (16). The body (8) and its bottom plate (16) are provided with guide surfaces which are spaced apart to provide a space through which the expansion element may pass upon movement of member 21. The guide surfaces constrain the resilient expansion element to move into pressure applying engagement with the inner workpiece.
