Abstract: A back support for use in combination with a chair is provided. The back support may be used to remove body weight of a person from lower regions of the body, including the spine and pelvic region. The back support generally comprises first and second harness supports positionable at an upper region of a backrest of the chair, first and second harness supports being spaced apart and extending generally upwardly from the backrest when positioned at the chair, first and second harness supports each having an upper portion, and first and second harnesses suspendable from the respective upper portions of first and second harness supports, each of first and second harnesses being engageable with the body of the person or being engageable with additional harness structure that engages the body for transferring at least a portion of the weight of the person to the first and second harness supports.

Abstract: A temporary shelter for use in a variety of situations, and the various components (bracket and tarp clamp) that are used in the construction of the shelter is disclosed. In particular, such a shelter may be used to cover an outdoor swimming pool, serve as a greenhouse, or serve as a temporary shelter from snow. The temporary shelter has a structural frame having a base frame and a rib frame, a sheet for covering the rib frame, one or more tarp clamps for stretching the sheet over the rib frame and one or more attachment members for securing the sheet to the base frame.

Abstract: A blind and blind assembly are provided for reducing or eliminating the flow of air between the blind and an opening at which the blind is installed. A blind is provided for an opening in a structure, the blind comprising a flexible blind sheet portion, at least one slat disposed at the blind sheet portion and extending substantially across the blind sheet portion, the at least one slat contributing to the rigidity of the blind, and at least one sealing portion disposed at at least one part of a periphery of the blind sheet portion for providing a seal between the blind sheet portion and a portion of the structure defining the opening when the blind is mounted in the opening. Also provided is a blind assembly comprising a blind and at least one bracket for for sealingly retaining the edge against a portion of a structure defining an opening.

Abstract: There is provided a thermal window assembly for increased insulation and energy efficiency, both in cold or warm climates. The window assembly comprises an external frame and an internal frame. The internal frame has grooves therein for receiving one or more thermal panels.
