Abstract: A multilayer film for the production of flexible packaging for thermal treatment has a plastic layer as outer layer and a sealable layer as inner layer, and middle layers. The outer layer, the inner layer and the middle layers are coextruded to form a biaxially oriented film, and the multilayer film has a maximum degree of dimensional change of 2% at most when exposed to temperature.

  • Publication number: 20110079531
Abstract: The invention concerns a packaging film, in particular for production of a packaging with at least one packaging film section comprising a single- or multi-layered substrate, a printed functional layer formed from a printable material forming at least in sections an outer layer of the packaging film section and structured such that it has antimicrobial and/or oxygen-scavenging properties. According to the invention it is provided that the section of the functional layer forming an outer layer of the packaging film section, or the functional layer forming the whole outer layer of the packaging film section, on an outside of the packaging film section is arranged at least in sections in an area surrounded by an annular sealing surface. Furthermore, the invention concerns a packaging and a packaging-product unit.

  • Publication number: 20110064955
Abstract: In a process for continuously manufacturing a flexible laminate for food packagings at least one plastic film and at least one further plastic film, metal foil or paper as laminate layers are continuously coated with an adhesive and brought together to form a laminate. Subsequently, the laminate is continuously irradiated in line in a microwave irradiation station in order to cure the adhesive. With the process according to the invention the curing time is significantly reduced in comparison to the standard thermal energy used nowadays and provided by a curing room warmed at 40-45° C.

  • Publication number: 20110037485
Abstract: The invention concerns a covering and/or sealing film for a pack, in particular a blister pack, configured to seal at least one filling product chamber and allow opening access to the filling product chamber by separation and/or tearing, wherein the film, in particular in the area of the filling product chamber, has a predetermined electrical conductance property (C14) which can be contacted for electronic analysis and as a reaction to separation or tearing undergoes an evaluatable change, wherein the film, at least in sections, has a capacitatively active, contactable layer structure, the electrical capacitance of which undergoes a change by the tearing or separation.
