    Abstract: A bed rail support and mounting mechanism for attachment to a bed frame comprising a folding multi-link framework, a folding diagonal locking linkage and a spring counterbalance whereby a bed rail may be easily lowered or raised and locked in position. A bed including the mechanism is also disclosed.
