Abstract: A table leg supporting a table top vertically above the floor is adjustable between minimum and maximum heights and adapted to receive a castor at the lower end thereof. The castor alters the minimum height of the table leg to be greater than the maximum height of the table leg without the castor. A spacer is removably mounted on the lower end of the table leg without a castor for increasing its height to be at least equal to and preferably greater than the minimum height of the table leg with a castor. Thus, tables supported by legs with castors can be positioned adjacent tables supported by legs without castors, and the adjacent tables can be adjusted to the same height by adding spacers to the non-castored legs.

Abstract: A top cap arrangement for an interior space-dividing wall panel arrangement which mounts on and projects upwardly from a floor for dividing a floor area into a plurality of smaller working areas. The panel arrangement is defined by a plurality of individual panel members which are less than ceiling height, and have an interior frame construction which includes an elongate top frame element which extends along and defines the upper surface of the panel member. A top cap member mounts on and extends horizontally along the top frame element, and is constructed of a material which permits at least limited transverse flexibility. The top cap member has a channel-like configuration which includes outer side flanges which slidably overlap and embrace exterior sides of the panel member to permit at least limited vertical positional adjustability of the top cap member relative to the panel member.

Abstract: A wire management arrangement is provided in a work surface arrangement to route cabling through the work surfaces. The wire management system includes two end grommet assemblies at the opposite ends of each work surface which permit the horizontal and vertical passage of cabling therethrough, and secondary grommets which permit the passage of cabling vertically therethrough. Each of the end grommet assemblies includes a housing that defines a vertical passage which extends through the work surface and a horizontal passage which is in communication with the vertical passage and extends through an end edge of the work surface so as to open into an adjacent work surface. A top cover and end cover are pivotally connected to the housing to respectively cover the vertical and horizontal passages.

Abstract: A longitudinally movable compressor unit for supporting documents in a file drawer. The compressor unit has a document contacting plate extending transversely of the file drawer. A channel extends the width of the plate and has open ends which generally align with longitudinally-extending channels formed in the side walls of the file drawer. A latch extends in and between the channel in the compressor plate and a respective side wall channel at each of the open ends. Each latch has a lug receivable in an aperture on the sidewall channel to selectively latch the compressor unit. A spring or resilient finger is positioned on the latch to bias the latch downwardly to secure the lug in the aperture.
