Patents Assigned to Anshal, Inc.
  • Patent number: 5346090
Abstract: The invention teaches apparatus suited for holding highly corrosive solvents heated under sealed conditions to temperatures up to 500.degree. C., for even extended durations. The apparatus is in the form of an open top vessel having a removable cover therefor, a seal cooperating between the vessel and cover, and clamping structures isolated radially beyond the seal from the vessel contents to hold the cover and vessel sealed together. The vessel and cover can be made structurally of chemically resistent material, such as a nickel alloy; or can be made as a separate chemically resistent liner, cover and seal structure contained within an outer pressure shell and cover, and clamping structures. The liner, cover, and seal would be formed of chemically resistent tantalum (Ta), platinum (Pt) or polytetrafluoroethylene. Gem-quality diamonds can be refined by using different related vessels exclusively to hold respective caustic, acid and rinse solvents, and moving the diamonds from vessel to vessel sequentially.

  • Patent number: 5251752
Abstract: The disclosed invention uses an open-top vessel for supporting a water rinsed razor and its blade, the vessel being filled with mineral oil to a level above the blade. Different mechanisms are used for holding the razor and for moving the submerged razor and mineral oil relative to one another. One mechanism comprises mechanically gripping the razor and moving it through the mineral oil contained within the vessel. Another mechanism comprises moving the mineral oil, by pumping it or vibrating it, relative the razor. The disclosed invention also uses a portable storage vessel having a brush bristle outlet for the mineral oil, and brushing the mineral oil onto the blade manually. In using all such mechanisms, the razor blade is effectively coated with the mineral oil to isolate it from the atmospheric air and thereby protect it from dulling caused by corrosion.

  • Patent number: 5249390
Abstract: The disclosed trellis apparatus is assemblied from a number of separate substantially identical rigid L-shaped pieces, each having short and long generally straight portions meeting across a generally right angle bend, and a loop formed adjacent the free end of each portion. The loop on the short portion is open and presents a gap wider than the cross-section of the long portion and further lies in a plane generally perpendicular to the straight portion. The free end of each long portion may be inserted direct)y into the plant dirt, at different circumferential locations radially adjacent the plant, to a depth that provides stable support thereof and that orients the short portion substantially horizontal and laterally adjacent the plant foliage.

  • Patent number: 5133792
Abstract: The invention teaches a deep boiling process for refining diamonds, be they raw or cut and polished. The process provides for initially precleaning the diamonds with solvents including alcohol, acetone, sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, and/or water, to remove surface oils, hydrocarbons and other common surface impurities therefrom. The process then provides the use of separate sealed vessels wherein the diamonds are respectively submerged in strong caustic and acid solvents, and heated to between 220.degree. and 500.degree. C. with associated high vaporous pressures, for durations of possibly more than a day.

  • Patent number: 5007533
Abstract: An open-top vessel having a closure cap, and a razor holder for releasably supporting a water rinsed razor and its blade within the vessel spaced below the closure cap. The vessel may be filled with mineral oil to a level above the blade, to have the blade submerged in the mineral oil. The razor holder may be supported on the closure cap, and rotatable via an exposed handle, for moving the razor as submerged in the mineral oil. More than one vessel may be used, as a kit, with each additional vessel also having a closure cap, a razor holder, and handle; and one or more vessels may be filled with mineral oil and one or more vessels may be left empty. The razor may be moved from vessel to vessel successively as it is being treated with the mineral oil and stored.
