  • Patent number: 8794963
Abstract: A device for centering and guiding at least one drill bit of a dental handpiece when drilling a hole in the jaw of a patient in cooperation with a surgical guide equipped with a tubular drill bushing. A support holds a tubular guide sleeve permanently in a coaxial and sliding position with respect to the drill bit. The tubular guide sleeve is able to engage with slight play in the tubular drill bushing. The support insures the engagement of the guide sleeve in the tubular drill bushing at the latest when the drill bit starts to drill in the patient's jaw, thus insuring the centering and guiding of the drill bit.

  • Publication number: 20100167239
Abstract: An impression device includes an impression taking-cap (6) designed for adapting on an implant (1) or the like along one prosthetic bearing surface formed by a mount (2) and an annular peripheral shoulder (4). The impression taking-cap (6) includes an annular bearing surface (1) bearing on the annular peripheral shoulder (4) when placed in the mouth. The impression taking-cap (6) is maintained in this position by a retaining peg (13) extending axially from the bottom surface (8) in an inner chamber (9) and capable of axial engagement by friction in a retaining female geometry (2b) provided at the end of the mount (2). It is thus possible to insure an axial fixation of the impression taking-cap (6) on the implant (1) or the like and thus a very reliable impression taking of the annular peripheral shoulder (4), which results in the peripheral tightness of the prosthesis on the implant (1).

  • Patent number: 7621917
Abstract: The bone recovery device of the invention comprises an axial main body with an axial cavity passing through it, a front connector incorporating an axial passage and adapted to be fixed to the main body, a filter with a tubular filtering wall adapted to be fitted into the main body, and a scraper piston that slides inside the filter. The scraper piston blocks the end of the filter, and a radial outlet is provided in the axial main body, with an annular cavity left free around the filter between the filter and the axial main body. A canula is inserted into the distal end of the filter. The recovery device may therefore be used to recover bone retained by the filter during aspiration through the canula by the radial outlet, and bone fragments may be extracted by sliding the piston and withdrawing the canula. The recovery device may therefore be used several times without demounting it.

  • Patent number: 6942485
Abstract: A dental handpiece is provided including a neck wherein balls are guided in transverse channels of an input shaft and are radially spaced apart by a support piece including a tapered part thrust by a spring. A linking ring is mounted on the end of the input shaft and includes internal longitudinal grooves circular in cross-section and of variable depth along the longitudinal direction. The linking ring is mounted sliding and locked in rotation on an output shaft. Under the action of a resisting torque applied by the tool to the output shaft greater than a predetermined threshold, the linking balls are subjected to a reaction from the internal grooves of the linking ring which tends to bring them closer together, countering the spring. The balls are then released, producing a disengagement which limits the transmitted torque and prevents the tool engaged in the tool-bearing shaft from breaking.
