Patents Assigned to Arakawa, Co. Ltd.
  • Patent number: 5638049
Abstract: A crime prevention display device is disclosed which includes a casing (21) provided therein with a chuck mechanism (20) for gripping a wire (W) inserted therethrough, a crime prevention alarm circuit (3) connected to the casing and a load detection means (40, 66, 25) for detecting a variation in load applied from an exhibit to the device. The load detection means (40) detects that removal of the exhibit held on the display device causes the device to be unloaded, so that the crime prevention alarm circuit (3) generates an alarm, leading to warning of the abnormality. Also, the crime prevention alarm circuit (3) generates an alarm sound, which is then collected by a sound wave receiver, followed by inputting of the alarm sound to a centralized control equipment (13), so that it may positively exhibit a crime prevention alarm function without causing any malfunction.

  • Patent number: 5417400
Abstract: A wire holder capable of facilitating adjustment and/or variation of a length and tension of the wire. The wire holder includes a wire grip and a connector. The connector is formed on an outer surface thereof with a groove longitudinally extending from an upper end portion thereof to an intermediate portion thereof and laterally extending from a substantially central portion of the connector to the outer surface of the connector in the manner that a bottom surface of the groove is smoothly curved so as to gradually decrease a depth of the groove toward a lower end portion of the connector and toward the outer surface of the connector.

  • Patent number: 5058847
Abstract: A hanging holder capable of being readily mounted or removed with respect to a wire at any desired time and without dismounting a hung structural assembly previously formed. The hanging holder includes a holder body, a slide lock sleeve, a bottom cover and a lock member which are formed with slits so as to vertically extend therethrough and laterally extend to their vertical through-holes, respectively, in such a manner that the slits of the holder body, slide lock sleeve and bottom cover are arranged so as to be aligned with one another and communicate with one another and the slit of the lock member is arranged so as not to be aligned with the slits of the holder body, slide lock sleeve and bottom cover when the lock member is threadedly fitted on the slide lock sleeve. The hanging holder also includes at least one support provided on the holder body for supporting an article to be hung therethrough on the holder body. Also, a hanging structure is provided which includes such a hanging holder.

  • Patent number: 4736855
Abstract: Display apparatus having a rail fixable on a stationary structure and provided with a groove, a sliding member fittable in the rail groove and slidable therealong, a wire or cord coupled to the sliding member, a gripping member through which the wire or cord passes, a supporting hook connected to an end of the wire or cord remote from the gripping member, and a second rail having a groove for receiving the hook such that the wire or cord is coupled to the second rail and is tensioned when installed. The gripping member through which the wire or cord passes, comprises a hollow member having an inner tapered surface, a sleeve member having a passage formed therein for the wire or cord and situated within the hollow member to be freely slidable with respect thereto with at least a portion of the sleeve member projecting out from the hollow member, and at least one ball captured in the sleeve member seating against the tapered inner surface of the hollow member and communicating with the passage.

  • Patent number: 4656698
Abstract: An arrangement for gripping end regions of an elongated flexible element extended between support surfaces, comprises a casing having an interior passage, and an inner conically-shaped wall, and a movable sleeve mounted for axial movement relative to the casing. The sleeve has an axial channel through which the element is inserted, an outer conically-shaped body, and at least one radial hole in the outer body. At least one gripping member is mounted in the radial hole of the sleeve. The radial dimension of the gripping member is larger than the radial length of the radial hole. The gripping member is movable from a non-gripping position in which the gripping member is located outside the channel, to a gripping portion in which the gripping member is pushed by the inner wall to extend into the channel for gripping the inserted end region of the element.

  • Patent number: 4278224
Abstract: The wedging action fixture to which the invention relates has a wedging action means, a pair of pressing members, wedging action releasing means and other members for limiting the relative movement and transmitting forces between these parts. This fixture can be secured to any desired portion of an elongated supporting member by a wedging action performed by the wedging action means. The external force to be borne is applied to the wedging action means so as to obtain a wedging force which is transmitted to a pair of pressing members. The pressing members acts on both surface of the elongated supporting member so as to cramp the latter therebetween or, alternatively, on both opposing walls of a channeled supporting member to urge the walls away from each other, thereby to bear the external force at any desired position on the elongated supporting member.
