Patent number: 6095186Abstract: A valve arrangement comprises a valve housing and a shutoff device. The valve housing has a flowthrough passage extending between an inflow opening and an outflow opening. The shutoff device is for closing the flowthrough passage. The shutoff device has a valve seat surrounding the flowthrough passage and a valve cone which is movable in an axial direction perpendicular to the valve seat between an open valve position and a closed valve position. The valve cone corresponds with the valve seat such that, in the closed valve position, sealing surfaces on the valve cone and valve seat come into metallically sealing contact and thus close off the flowthrough passage. Arranged between the valve seat and the valve cone is a soft-sealing seal arrangement which, in the closed valve position, provides an effective seal in addition to the metallic seal effected by the sealing surfaces. The soft-sealing seal arrangement has a sealing element retained on the valve seat.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1998Date of Patent: August 1, 2000Assignee: Arca Regler GmbHInventor: Heinz M. Nagel

Patent number: 5941505Abstract: A valve (1) has a valve housing (2) traversed by a through-flow channel (3), a valve seat (5) in the through-flow channel (3), and a closure member (13) movable relative to the valve seat (5), wherein the membrane (28) is attached on the outside to the valve housing (2) and on the inside to the closure member (13), whereby a seal (24) is provided on the side of the membrane (28) facing away from the through-flow channel (3) between closure member (13) and valve housing (2), which encloses a support hollow space (29) together with the membrane (28) filled with a non-compressible deformable support medium, wherein the closure member (13) has a shape such that, on the side of the membrane (28) facing away from the through-flow channel (3), the volume of the support hollow space (29) remains essentially constant during movement of the closure member (13).Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1996Date of Patent: August 24, 1999Assignee: Arca Regler GmbHInventor: Heinz M. Patent number: 5469774Abstract: A pneumatic actuating drive (1, 61) for final control elements comprises a drive housing (6) and a drive component (15) movable therein, to which the drive component (15) is attached a drive element (24) that exits from the drive housing (6) and that can be moved together with the drive component (15), and which has the function of actuating the actuator (1, 61) and which divides the drive housing (6) into a pressure chamber (16) and a reset chamber (17) with a reset element (19, 20) that acts on the drive component (15). The actuating drive (1, 61) furthermore comprises a position controller (41) whose output (48) merges into an internal supply duct (49), which is connected to a transfer connection (35, 62) on the reset chamber side on the drive element (24), whereby the drive element (24) exhibits an air duct (30), which originates from the transfer connection (35, 62) and merges into the air duct (30).Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1994Date of Patent: November 28, 1995Assignee: Arca Regler GmbHInventor: Rudiger Kaspers

Patent number: 5279325Abstract: A pneumatic control drive 1, 51, 71 for control devices, in particular control valves, comprises a drive housing 5 and a drive member 11 displaceable therein and to which is affixed a drive element 18 displaceable together with said drive member 11 to actuate the control device and exiting the drive housing 5, said drive member dividing the drive housing 5 into a pressure chamber 12 and a reset chamber 13 with a reset member 15, 16 loading the drive member 11. A position controller 3 is adjacent to one of the chambers (13) and communicates through an inner air-supply duct 30, 28, 55, 74 with the pressure chamber 12, a vent duct 35, 58, 76 issuing from the reset chamber 13 toward a vent aperture. In the invention, the drive element 18 comprises an air-supply duct 24, 25 issuing at the side of the drive member 11 away from the position controller 3 into the pressure chamber 12 there.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1992Date of Patent: January 18, 1994Assignee: Arca Regler GmbHInventor: Rudiger Kaspers
